I have a RTS30 that has a problem that I am learning is quite common. The "pad" (part 0890370080400) that is under the bevel locking handle, splits and falls out. This leaves the locking handles cam loose because of excess clearance.

I did a 45 degree bevel cut with my Dewalt portable table saw and now I can not get the blade back to a 90 degree position, any thoughts?

Did you check to see if the saw has a locking nut on the front of the bevel gauge handle? Its possible you just locked it into position and forgot to unlock.

Clutch adjustment on ryobi reciprocating saw # rj160v

The Ryobi RJ160V does not have a clutch, it has a direct drive system: the armature has a gear pressed on the end of it that turns a bevel gear with an off-set pin on it. This pin fits into a slot on the end of the saw bar assembly which is what you attach the blade to. If you have slipping it could be stripped armature gear teeth or bevel gear teeth or both or the pin on the bevel gear is broke off.

The bevel on my my ryobi 10" table saw model BTS12S does not change from the knob reguardless of the position of the bevel lock ar regaurdless if i adjust the bevel lock. i just got this saw so i do...

Suspect that a part was left out of the bevel adjust mechanism. Best to take the saw back and get a warranty replacement--let warranty fix the defect. Can you change the bevel of the blade by pushing/pulling the blade? I would suspect a missing worm gear on the bevel control shaft if you can. Otherwise, look for loose/missing set screws on the shaft or possibly a missing key. Good luck!

I have a craftsman radial arm saw 113.23100 which has not been used for possibly 20 years. I cannot get the motor to rotate in order to make 45% angle beveled cuts. I have turned the bevel lock knob to the...

My craftsman 10-inch radial saw (model#113.199200) just stopped working. I had it in the driveway cutting some wood without any problems. It sat for a half hour and I went to use it again and it was running half speed then before I could even turn it off it just died. There was no popping sound or smoke, nothing! It will not start. Need help, please?

1. arm will not move up or down 2. saw will not lock in the rip position on my ryobi RA2500.

just use a crecent wrench to loosen the depth lock. If that is not it then the guide the the table travels on is probably bent a little. By rip position do you mean the bevel? If so should be a wing nut or the like there of on the front of the saw? if not then take the saw to the store and score the right piece from the hardware dept.

I have a 10" ryobi table saw and my bevel will not return to the 0 degree position. I can change the angle, but I can not get the blade to sit straight up and down. I can push it almost to zero with much...

I have a Ryobi folding table saw and I learned how to adjust the bevel through trial and error. There are two allen key machine set screws in the top of the table. One for 90 and the other for 45. I backed the 90 screw off past 90 and than set the blade exactly at 90. Now I screwed the allen screw in to touch the blade. It seemed to work for me. Mind you it will have to be checked often to insure a perfect cut. Good luck.

Bevel locking lever won't tighten

It looks like that handle should be able to pull straight off the end of the shaft once you remove the screw. See this exploded parts view: http://www.makita.com/en-us/Assets/images/Products/_PartsBreakdowns/PB_2703.pdf

My experience with them is that people tend to get frustrated and abandon the lock lever and just run the saw "loose". Scary as it sounds, I've seen it on more than one site.

Anyway, I don't have a fix for you if you can't get the handle off to re-position it.
Makita does have a tech support line if you want to give it a try. Otherwise, you may have to shell out a few bucks to one of their service centers. We used to have a great one in Albuquerque, but it's now defunct. People don't seem to repair tools like they used to...
