How do i do a master reset on my laptop and fix a currupt C drive

My Computer stoped installing the windows update. I have talked to someone from microsoft and acer the instructions they have sent didnt work. Now i want to know if i should do a master rest on my laptop and how do i do it? and also my computer is telling me that my C drive is
