The Easiest Way to Use DVD Shrink

DVD Shrink is a freeware DVD transcoder program for Microsoft Windows that uses a DVD ripper to back up DVD movies. The final versions are 3.2.0.15 (english) and 3.2.0.16 (german), all other versions like DVD Shrink 2010 are scams. As commercially-released video DVDs are typically dual layer one of DVD Shrink's functions is to process the video into lesser quality and/or discard extra content such as foreign-language soundtracks so as to fit on a single layer (4.7 GB) DVD.

DVD Shrink is freeware, and it is only to be used to create backup copies of DVDs you already own. It is illegal to make copies of rented or borrowed DVDs, or to copy them and sell them for profit. The reason we need DVD Shrink is because a regular DVD movie doesn't fit on the average 4.7gig size DVD disc, we use DVD Shrink to cut the contents down to size as to fit on the disk.

This article will provide you how can you use DVD Shrink to copy DVD movies step by step. All you need is a DVD Shrink software and you will be able to store and duplicate all your DVD discs.
To use DVD Shrink, Things you will need:
* DVD Shrink program
* A DVD movie to backup
* DVD blank disc

Guide: How to Use DVD Shrink 3.2

Step 1. The name of the disk will show up in brackets. In this case it is called NEW.

Step 3. Press OK. It will read the DVD.

Step 4. Shrink DVD size.
1) A breakdown of the movie will be displayed in the right hand column.
2) You cannot fit all this on your blank dvd so now press Re-author.
3) In the right column there will be a heading called Main movie. There will be a file under this heading. Drag this to the left column. The file size is usually more than 4,700mb and has to be compressed.

Step 5. Click on the "Backup" icon. This is where you will choose a folder for your ripped files. Once you make a folder, make sure the box is checked next to "Create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS subfolders" and click "OK".

The movie will now play quickly in the viewing box, and you will see the progression of the rip. Once the rip is complete, the movie can be burned to a DVD-R automatically via DVD Shrink using NERO. Or if you have different DVD-burning software, you can open that manually and burn the ripped files as you normally would.

Here we also recommend you the best DVD Copy software, 1CLICK DVD COPY PRO, which is a fast, easy-to-use, full featured program for copying DVD movies onto DVD discs. Im trying download a movie that say it 2 hours 15minutes long so i got a double sided dvd to try to download it but it keep said will not fix so could i shrink the movie even if the dvd has 120 minutes on...

yes... Nero Vision which is part of Nero will allow you to do this by reducing the quality of the movie. It will tell you the overall burn quality that the movie will burn.

DVD Shrink will allow you to backup movies that are over 4.7GB on to a 4.7 GB DVD by doing the same.

Hope this helped you!

A standard DVD movie is about 8GB. However it is possible to put the same movie onto a CD. You will need to use MP4 or DIVX compression in order to squeeze it to fit. The quality is quite good. Google for free software to encode a DVD movie to AVI. Then you can burn it to DVD

Shrink-it

Are you talking about DVD Shrink? Actually it is quite simple..

First you open the DVD from the menu list, and it will run through a process of loading the DVD movie.

Then you decide if you wish to extract all the languages. If not, the compression will be less, and the quality better. Just uncheck the languages you do not need.

Then, click the Backup Button. A wizard will come up and you decide where you wish to save you movie. It will compress the movie and save it so you can burn it later. Or, you can burn it right then to another DVD (although I would prefer to do this separately.)

Now, I do not use Shrink anymore, as many protections that the new movies have cannot be broken, and Shrink will not work on them anymore.

Good luck!
