Mitsubishi WD- 73737 73 in. Screen if dim or dark. Changed contrast, brightness, and restored default settings but that didn't work. Help?

I am not sure about your model but a call to Mitsubishi to ask if the set has one or two mirrors would offer a possible explanation---the ones with two mirrors have a small one at the bottom--it gets coated with dust and brightness drops up to 75 percent----other possible reason is the lamp may be nearing the end of its life.

I would have Mitsubishi look to see if this model uses the two mirrors--if that is the case cleaning will cure this--if you find it has two mirrors I can tell you what is involved--on Vacation but do look here--let me know what you find.

NEED A NEW SCREEN

Please check the cost of a new screen before you decide to buy one as the cost might be about 70% of the cost of a new TV. Also you have to be very carefully to install again with no warranty. So consider to scrap for spares and invest in a new model with added advantages and warranty.

Tring to find a samsung pn58a550 plasma screen replacement,my screen is broken. I was tring to find where to buy one.

I've never seen a source for replacment LCD or plasma screens for TVs. Effectively the screen is like the chassis of a car; you can buy everything except that as a repair part.

Even if it were available, the cost of the part would be very close to the cost of an entire TV set. Your best bet is to buy the same model with a blown power supply and take that part from yours to make a whole TV.
