Hi
This is a scanner lock issue. You may try the following:

Power off the All-In-One (AIO) off and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Then reinsert the power supply and power the AIO on.

Try a test scan now. If the error reoccurs, then try the below:

Power off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open the scanner cover and check the scanner glass for cracks and the scanner casing for cracks. Close the scanner lid.
Open the top cover of the AIO and using the carrier belt, move the cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit. Remove both cartridges, close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.

If the error still occurs, you may insert the cartridges one at a time and re-check..

Halfway through sending a fax I got an 'error 2200 - conslut your user guide' nessage'. Is there a user guide online or can you help me?

I tried using store function but a pop-up states: "Variable or flash application is locked, protected, or archived." what do i need to do to fix it?


You may be trying to store the function in a folder that already contains that function or name. Its called Error Folder, and you will get the errors you mentioned. Try copying the function under the same name to another folder. Go to the other folder, the one you just copied your function too and, rename the function something you don't think will conflict with the original folder. Simply store your function with the new name in the original folder. That should work, and hopefully you won't get any errors.

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

Won't copy, error message 2200 pops up and says to check manual. Manual doesn't reference that error message.


Try this - turn off the printer.
Remove the power supply.
Press the power button for 15 seconds.
Then plug it back in.

That should've cleared the printer!

We had this problem when the power was fluctuating in our building. I called Sharp and they told me to clear this condition with the following code: #*C* and when the screen shows 00-00 enter 14 and press the green copy buton. This worked on the AL-1655CS. On the AL-1631 we had to do a similar thing: C<auto>C<auto> 14 <copy>
