My screen fickers/rolls for rough 2 to 3 hours when first turned on. Then appears to stop however at times has a slight appearance of a flicker. Is it worth fixing?

My TV comes on is fine for about 10 minutes, then flickers for an hour and a half, then is fine.

Try Re-soldering the vertical yoke connections and vertical output IC. This is quite common with this model.

Mitsubishi VS 45607: 1. TV starts out as B/W when first turned on. After about 30-60 min, the color is restored, although not in the full color spectrum. 2. TV flickers a lot vertically. After about an...

You have a bad video board. If you can find one used it is fairly easy to replace once you get into the TV itself. Your color guns could also be adding to this problem. I am not familiar with this television and its components so I dont know if you can replace one color gun at a time or if once one is shot then all three have to be replaced. That should be a start for you anyway.

Need to find horizontal adjustment

You have bad capacitors next to your vertical IC. And be sure to solder the rings around the bottom of the vertical IC. There are no customer controls that will cure this. You need a tv tech!

This doesent sound like a bulb problem to me at all! it sounds like a few capaciters need replaced! Look put the screwdriver down and call a pro because you could ruin the set trying to do a minor fix and causing a major problem!

Convergence problem

I have a VS-45607 and If the VS-5052 has the same menus then there are two options for convergence. One is the basic convergence where there is one set of crosshairs and you line them up. Then there should be an option for "advanced" calibration where the whole screen looks like a grid and you go to un-converged crosshairs and align the screen. Most likely not all of them will need to be adjusted, but for me, the lower right hand corner wasn't aligned right and this cleared it right up.Good luck

sounds like a defective cappacitor or leaky diode in the deflection circuits. Unless youre comfortable working around the high voltage circuits of a rear projection set, it may be best to call a reputable repair facility that is famillair with mitsubishi products.

Picture has horizontal lines that move to middle of screen........

Just got this fixed. The problem is the 21 (yes, 21) main capacitors. It'll only get worse if they aren't replaced. The whole screen'll start jumping, multi-hour "warm up" times until you get a clear picture, maybe not even then... it isn't pretty. Just nip it in the bud now, and more power to you if you tackle it yourself. A good repair shop ought to be able to do this for under $400 if you can't.

Screen will flicker for 3 to 4 hours then come in clear

Wait, let me guess: up until now, it would flicker for a few minutes, which you could tolerate, but now it's gone to far, am I right? Rhetorical question, you don't need to answer. I have this exact model myself, and had this problem. It's the main capacitors. Several, if not all 21, are shot, and need to be replaced. Any good shop should be able to replace them all for under $400 if you can't do it yourself.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 Picture flickers and dims

It could be a bad solder connection that opens up as the set warms up. It could also be caused by a couple of bad capacitors, C2p05 (100uf/16v) Located By Ic2p01 and check C2c52 (10uf/50v) Located near Q2c51. A technican will be able to fix it for about what you paid for it I suppose.
