The Mac normally recognizes the camera and launches iPhoto.
Try launching iPhoto, then plug in the usb cable. Make sure the connections are tight on the camera end of the cable.

Can't insert eos 30d cd in new macbook pro...need to find software so I can upload photos, but can't find anything...

You don't need any special software to use your camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How do i upload photos from cellphone to computer

  1. Determine Connection and Equipment Needed
    • 1 Determine the type of connection you will use to upload pictures from your cell phone to your PC. For example, if your telephone has BlueTooth capabilities and you have a notebook computer with BlueTooth, you may be able to upload pictures without purchasing any additional equipment.
    • 2 Purchase additional equipment needed, such a data link cable or blue tooth hardware to add to your computer. To find the data link cable for your individual cell phone, try visiting your local cell service provider retail store. Stores often keep these cables in stock. The cost for a cable runs from $20.00 and up.
    • 3 Make sure that the new cable fits properly in your cell phone and computer ports. The computer connection should be a basic USB connection.
    Download and Install Software
    • 1 Visit the website for your cell phone's manufacturer, for example the LG website. Do a search for downloads or software and locate the proper download for your cell phone and Windows (or MAC) platform on your PC.
    • 2 Install the software and follow directions carefully. Often, there will be very specific steps involved in ensuring that the cell phone and the computer recognize one another. For example, if you connect the phone before downloading and installing the software, the computer may not recognize your cell phone properly.
    • 3 Test the software and make sure everything is working properly. You should be able to pull up the software and upload all the pictures and videos on your telephone. Every cell phone manufacturer uses different software. While there isn't a single tutorial that will cover how to use every type available, most software comes with specific instructions and tutorials that will help you learn how to easily use the features available.

Try downloading the driver from the below link. With Snow Leopard, if a printer is plugged in and Snow Leopard doesn't already have the driver, it's supposed to download it via Software Update; however, this sometimes does not work well.

In Spotlight, find Image Capture. This will recognize the camera and allow you to download the pictures off the camera.

try using the image capture utility when connected to the computer. canons are notorious for forcing you to use image utilities (picture wizard in windows and image capture in macos). my canon xsi did the same thing.

Can't get photos from MAC to load to Digital Photo Frame

To connect to a Macintosh computer:
1 Plug in and turn on the digital picture frame.

2 Connect the small end of the usb cable to the usb port on the side of the digital picture frame.

3 Connect the larger end of the usb cable to a USB port on your Macintosh computer. The Macintosh will recognize the digital picture frame as an external storage device, and an icon will appear representing the device.

4 Drag and drop your photos on to the icon...

5. After you finish, press the eject button, and disconnect the usb cable once the icon has dissappeared

If there is still a problem, try restarting the macbook. and make sure no other programs are running in the background that may interfere with the process. Also, make sure the laptop is plugged in, or the battery power is sufficient.

Hope this helps!
