Waste toner is full. Remove cleaning station, empty waste hopper, and run "SP83" to clear code.

The removal process is too complicated to put into writing here; however the code is resettable and the machine should continue to operate (possibly for a long time) without any difficulty. What may happen after a time is the waste begins to back up and overflow onto when you see "splotches" of toner, or possibly a sort of "grinding" noise due to the back up of waste -call for service.
reset like this (I think)'s been a long time:
    press "7" then "1"
Hold "clear/stop" until a "." appears in the display, then release it and press it (don't hold) again.
Now the display should flash "5" I believe.
press "8" then "3", then "auto density"
The magnification indicator should be flashing "0" press "1" and then "auto density" .
I believe the exposure lights will now all flash a few times to acknowledge the setting
    Turn power off/on

If this works, please give me a favorable rating...too often assistance goes unrecognized here. If you still have trouble...drop another line.
    good luck!

Well, my memory is still working satisfactorily (about 95%), but you're right, I left out 1 key step......after holding the "clear stop", press it again (like I said), but then press the "lighter" exposure key ( looks like a backwards "D") you should see the "5" and proceed as above.

please let me know, and good luck again!

The E tells you, it's an error. The 7 tells you what area to look in. My first guess is around the fuser and/or output assembly.

Ricoh ft3713 error code e54, where is the fuser and thermistor

You need a tech, or a new machine. The fuser is the heater section nearest the exit of machine - where they are always located. Your error message indicates a blown fuse, or lamp, or thermistor. The code can only be reset in service mode after the problem is fixed.

Hello mine is really an FT3713

This sounds very scary...
Your Machine is very old..
What did you do last to the Copier to get it in this condition?

All you should have done is empty the Waste Toner bottle, and do SP83.
