I had been able to listen to my Ipod through my Pioneer VSX-60 receiver, by hooking it into the usb port. Now it will not work for me that way. It still works in my car, so I know it is not the power cord. Any suggestions? The screen on the receiver says "Please Wait"

You need to turn on the audio for the IPOD in the system settings.

This did the trick. I went to menu/settings/AV Settings/ and chose iPod for AV1 Input

The avic-f700bt requires a secondary cable that connects to your RCA inputs (AV1). The installation manual shows how to connect it and also shows the required cable and its pioneer part number. Vendors who sell the nav unit such as Best Buy usually carry the extra cables.

Loose sound to left side

I have the same EXACT problem. Most of the time only the right speaker plays and the left doesn't but when they both play its very distorted. I've tried everything. Resetting the ipod does not work and its not the ipod because when I use it on my fiance's avic-x910 its perfect. If I remove my head unit and play with the wires its fixed but only for a short while. I've soldered the connections so they are solid but I still have this issue. Any help?

I HAVE A PIONEER AVIC-F700 AND I CAN NOT GET SOUND FROM MY IPOD..

If your avic recognizes the iPod and shows the songs being played, but you can't hear them, do this. Go to main menu, choose settings. Then go to av settings. On av1, make sure it says iPod. When it does, you'll hear the music.

Ipod wont work

This could be due to the AV Setup. In the Settings Menu make sure that the source is "enabled" (i.e. switched on).

Best of luck

Avic-f700Bt doesn't play DVD's

The AVIC-F700BT was not designed to play DVD's. If you wanted that capability you should have purchased the AVIC-F900BT. You can play video on the AVIC-F700BT from your iPod or USB Drive or SD Card or even from one of the AV inputs (mini jack on front or RCA's on the rear of the unit).

Hello, I have the pioneer AVIC 700bt. When I plug my Ipod nano into the USB adapter on the head unit, the Ipod display comes up right away and it shows that it is playing but there is no sound coming...

You will need to be using the CD-IU230V cable for the iPod.
After connections, you will also need to follow these step:
Press "menu".
Press "settings"
Press " AV Settings"
Press "AV1 Input" multiple times until it says iPod.

You will now be able to hear the sound from the ipod when it is selected as a source.
