Question about Goldstar MV-1526 Microwave Oven
Although I am so tempted to tell you to chuck it and buy something that is actually younger than I am, I found the part you would need. Apparently, not many people carry parts for microwaves from the 80s. How weird.
It costs about $14 without shipping. I talked to an online rep and he said that if you place an order, the tech guys will be more than happy to tell you how to take out the old and install the shiny new one.
If you aren't hip to the idea of having to rely on tech guys, I found manuals... but... since the microwave is, erm, vintage, its far more difficult to find one for free.
I found one service manual that has the instant gratification appeal since it is a download, but it runs around $16. You can find it: http://www.servicemanuals.net/ServiceManual/GOLDSTAR/6510/pos1/results.aspx
This guy doesnt post his rates, but it seems like hes just a collector and would probably charge much less. http://www.analogalley.com/m_goldst.htm
Hope this helps!
