Question about Acer Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop

No sound come through external headset or desktop speaker

Hi, I have a problem with Acer Aspire 5570. When i connect to the external headset or to any desktop speaker, I don’t receive sound. Meanwhile inbuilt speaker is working normally. My device driver is Realtek. Sometimes, after long hours I get sound but when once system is restarted it gives no sound. I have changed headset and speaker but there was no use.I felt that it would be a problem of the driver so i uninstalled the previous driver and installed with the new driver, but still the problem is not solved. I appreciate your valuable advice in this regard.

Sometimes the headphone jack has its own volume control separate from the internal speakers. Check the levels in the volume mixer.

My acer aspire 5570 is having problem with the audio device, as a result no sound coming out from it. How to solve this?

Check your audio settings in your control panel and make sure your setting are adjusted properly. If your using external speakers, you may have accidently switched the default speakers in the control panel, also check your advanced audio controls. Hope this helps and please rate ^^

I have an aspire 5100, the sound has always been bad, I think the speakers are just too small and located in the wrong place. Don't think there is much you can do. I sometimes use external speakers with mine.

This is a common problem with all DJ's I know. Sometimes this is due to the fact INADVERTLY one connects powered equipments to the jack. The card is OK, but the jack gets fried. One nice solution is using USB sound cards (the ones that resembles Pen-Drives) and be in business again.

CONNECTION TO SKYPE AND MICROPHONE

If you are using an external headset your Laptop should pop up the RealTek Management Window prompting for the device connection that the laptop has just detected and you will just click ok for mic and headphone and you are ready to run. The microphone on the laptop plataform and internal speakers work as well, I had no problems whatsoever.

Acer 5610 sound problems

Hi, It is possible that: 1. You may have recently installed an add-on/external device such as a multimedia keyboard which changed the audio output from internal to external; 2. The laptop's internal speaker might have gone dead (highly unlikely but still a possibility) - try plugging in external speakers or a headset and check; 3. Most if not all laptops uses a female stereo babyphone jack to connect to external speakers. This jack has a built-in switch that cuts off internal speaker if an external is plug in. If you are using eternal or headset from time to time, it is possible that the switch might have locked to external and does not switch back to the internal; 4. You may have a hardware issue specifically the sound card/chipset. This of course would require an inshop repair which may be better off with an authorized service center. At worst is have the entire laptop replace if it is confirmed to be a hardware issue. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

Sound problem with Aspire 5570

I had the same problem with my Acer 5570 and I just fixed it. What I did is to go to Control Panel > Sounds And Audio Devices >Hardware >On Devices click on Reatek High Definition Audio >Click Properties > On Devise Usage choose the option Do not use this devise (disable) > click OK >then plug in your headphones, click on Realtek High Definition Audio properties again and click on Enable Devise **with the headphones plugged in**. It worked for me.
