Oven anti-tip bracket

I have been told there was an anti-tip bracket on our frigidaire oven but I don't know where? How is it activated or installed? And if mine doesn't have it where can I get one?

Hi Jodie,

The anti-tip kits are installed on the floor behind the oven. They're installed BEFORE the oven is moved into place. They are "U"-shaped and when the oven is slid into place, the "U" locks into the back legs of the oven to lock it down.

You can tell if yours is so equipped by simply sliding the oven out away from the wall about 10 inches then looking behind it on the floor. Slide the oven out by opening the door about 5" and place your hands inside... then lift and pull toward you at the same time.

Here is the anti-tip kit for yours... If you see this down there, then you're good to go. If not, order both of those parts (in the previous link) 'cause you'll need them.

Hope this helps!

What size wire should be used from bracket box to oven. Frigidaire , model # FGET2765PBC . What AMP bracket should be used?

I appreciate your post, Steve!

From my understanding you would like to know which wire should be used from the bracket box to your oven for your Frigidaire oven. I have provided you a copy of your installation manual. I am showing that the amp needed for your oven is a 40 amp circuit. I hope that is helpful for you. -Matt

Heating element disconnected

Make sure to keep breaker to oven off because wire could short against back of oven and start a fire. You need to disconnect the tilt bracket and pull the oven out. Replace the clip on the wire if needed. Make sure to reattach tightly. Put it back in the wall, reattaching anti-tip bracket. It should work.

The glass top on my format oven has a crack in it, can i replace the glass top?

Yes it can be replaced and without to much hassle just a few screws. Finding your glass from your manufacturer would be where i would start first, locating the glass is why most people have to purchase a new stove because parts are not available. Please rate my solution it is how i earn my achievements. Thanks in advance

I think I can help you but i am a bit confused with the panel box and the junction box. If you want to reply explain the circuit in a bit more detail from the switchboard where the fuse is to the back of the oven. It would also be a good idea to have a voltmeter or test lamps handy. Does the double pole breaker do the Active and Neutral or is it 2 phases going through the breaker. Did the wiring used to be for a full range and now there is only the new oven in its place.
