Question about SanDisk Sansa e270 MP3 Player

1 Answer

"Bad Tracks" Recently some songs on my Sandsa E270 player have been showing up as "Bad Tracks" When I try to play them. Most notably, This includes Nirvana's With The Lights Out boxset disc 2. I tried updating the firmware in my player and that didn't work in the end. I think part of the reason why this messes up is because sometimes I have Windows Media Player on when I plug in my Mp3 player and it automatically starts synching to it and I stop it because I prefer adding files manually. I thought of re formatting my player, What software would I need to download to do this?

Thank you, I wasn't aware I could do that. Although it did not fix my problem I did find I could go into WMA and turn off the automatic synching option. Anyway, My MP3 player seems to be working now. I'm not exactly sure what I did, Just as I was about to email sansa support I connected my MP3 player to my computer (While in MTP Mode) And my computer recognized it as being "Corrupted" And it gave me the option to scan and fix it, Which I chose. Before I clicked the start button I also checked the unmarked checkbox which read "Recover files" or something like that. After this, My Mp3 player read music files again! I formatted it once more and now it seems to work, I may or may not have more problems.

Note: Then in MTP Mode and going into the player manually from the My Computer folder, The player didn't show a "Music" Folder. Is this normal?

I uploaded songs onto my Sansa. I can see most of them, but some of them do not show up. Any idea why not?

Songs with no ID3 tags tend not to show up on the Sansa e200 models (this includes e250, e260,e270, and e280 V1 and V2
