Don't understand what you meant [ .. but non inside].

Remove the air filter, set the choke full open. The gas stream entering carb can be seen while you press the primebulb.

If not, the fuel line from the primebulb to the carb is not good connection. Either the fuel line is bad air sealed or the primebuld malfunction.

If the unit has got both spark and fuel. You might look into the crankage block for leakage problem [the gasket between the crankage and the cylinder, oil could be seen around this area] The 2 stroke engine use this block keep a mixed fuel before transfer to the cylinder on the next cycle.

Ran great sat. but would not start sun. same gas changed plug air filter gas soaked with it off still not running tried putting gas in spark plug hole still not running this is a craftmans 2 cycle leaf...

Were you running a fuel mixture of 40:1(3.2 oz of 2 cycle oil to 1 gal of gas), that you mixed up before you started using it again. The unit may have had to much use on Saturday and may be burned up. Try to have a compression test done on the engine, needs to be at least 100 psi to run. If that proves to be good then you can start looking at Fresh gas mixture, a new spark plug, Carburetor rebuild or an ignition module.

Craftman gas leaf blower stopped working suddenly. I changed the spark plugs but it still won't start

first check for spark, if you have spark gap plug at .030. turn mixture screws completelin give a short squirt of carb cleaner directly into throat of carb and try to start if unit starts then dies ,carb needs to be rebuilt and also change fuel filter in the gastank. gas mixture 40:1

bad fuel is prob your culprit, drain tank and carb and add fresh 89 octane gas oil mix, check for broken fuel lines and clogged inlet screen inside the carburetor. hope this helps

I have a craftman yard vac with a tecmseh 4.5. She has failed to

Hi gr2954;

Lots of the starting problems with 2 cycle engines (weed eaters, blowers, chain saws, etc) are caused by leaving them stored for long periods of time with the oil/gas mixture left in them. what happens is that a residue forms on parts in the carb.

Try the following: empty the fresh gas out of the blower. add a gas stabilizer to the existing gas you plan to put in the blower. You can get this stabilizer at any auto parts store. While you are there get a can of spray start fluid. Put the fresh, modified gas in the blower. Take the spark out and spray some starter fluid in the plug hole.Replace the spark plug and try to start the engine.It will probably take a few cycles of doing this to get the blower to stay running.
when you put the blower up for a long period, empty the remaining gas out then start the engine and run it till it stops. this gets the remaining gas out of the carb.
