Did you fix yours?

The fuse of my TS1001 blew, because the MosFET IRF740, another IC, and the transformer were shorted.
Called Tannoy who were not helpful and asked me to get to their authorised reseller/agent, as you cannot purchase parts directly from Tannoy. The agent obviously added a mark-up on the part.
Cutting long story short, I purchased the amplifier board for a TS801 to fit in my TS1001 because the BASH amplifier for TS1001 is no longer available/manufactured. The sizes of the amplifier plate were similar although the TS801 is 200W with 8" driver and the TS1001 is 300W with 10" driver.
I am now using a 200W amplifier with my TS1001 (Works well with the 10" driver).

How do I replace a fuse in the Tannoy TS10 Subwoofer

The fuse is located under the AC input cable. Pull out the cable and you'll see there is a slot that will fitt a flat screwdriver. Pull this out and you'll find the fuse.

My Tannoy IW8 tdc is rubbing. Piano sounds like a chorus of ducks.

If the speakers are rubbing against the Fabric Cover, try removing the cover to see if this fixes the sound problem. If not, there may be a mount, etc. that has come loose inside the speaker. Since it is an in-wall speaker, you will have to remove the speaker from the wall and check the internals for the cause of the rubbing. If all else fails, contact the place where you purchased the speakers to see about getting the problem speaker replaced.
