Question about HP LaserJet 1100 Printer
And when it does work my hp laserjet 1100 is only printing one line of code of on the top of page, it rarely works anyway and usually takes about 50 tries to print some thing. i have the printer connected to a dell pc with microsoft vista via usb. before when i tried to print something, it wouldn't print and had an error message. i try unplugging everything and plugging it back in, reinstalling the driver, ive used different usb ports on my computer, rarely works. the times it has worked, it workes fine, but i dont know what causes it to decide whether or not to work correctly. i need help.
Not sure if this will help but if you right click on the printer and go to properties ( when your in printers and faxes ) and go to the ports tab I think it is and un tick the check box that says bi directional support and try it again.
Also what error are you getting thats printed off ?
what lights are on the printer and where are you getting the driver from, if the disc then try the latest driver from the hp website
