Question about Toshiba Satellite A65-S1065 Notebook
Hi, My laptop reads some cds and others not. I recently installed WinXp SP2. In resume i insert for example a warcraft 3 cd and the cdrom led stays on, i double click the DVD_RAM drive in my computer and says it is not accessible because of an I/O error. Then i insert another cd i burned with some programs and it reads fine. Then i insert another cd i burned and i get the same error. And once again i insert another cd i burned that contains linux and it reads just fine.
I also cant read any dvd, i have the following messages:
Please insert a cd.
Device not accessible.
So i decided to test the cds that gave me errors on another computer just in case, and guess what... they worked just fine.
Take the laptop *and* your DVDs/CDs to a qualified technician.
It seems like the drive is "intermittently" failing, and needs to be replaced.
