Question about SVA-USA VR 17S 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
If I try to set the display down to 800x600 the screen just goes gray. if i try to play any games they just stop and go to desktop. i have a SVA VR-17S and a ATI Radeon 8550 AGP video card. everything works great with my old CRT monitor. I just don't get it.
I have the same problem with 800x600. I've found that by setting the refresh rate to 56 Hz, I can get the games to play. For instance Age-Of-Empires II only works with this method. My old monitor worked fine, and this works at 1280x1024.

The monitor itself needs repair when it cannot display within its normal values, the logic board the controls the refreah rate has gone or you need to change your refreash rate on your video card and make sure its in the same threshhold that your monitor supports- Thanks
