Can't lower handle on Hoover wind tunnel vac U6432-900

Anne, Do you mean that when you depress the pedal on the left side of the machine body that you can't get the upper portion to release into a lower mode? Or are you fully depressing the pedal?? As for the switch for the self propelled mode, that's actually just a small button that you move around in the slot of the handle to select which mode you want to use. It's not actually a switch. If you are fully depressing the handle release pedal and it's not releasing, you should take it to the store where you purchased it, if it was a vacuum store. If you bought it at a big box store, then you'll need to take it to some repair shop that does warranty work, if it's within the warranty period of course.

The powerhead on my Hoover Duros will not keep running. If I push the on/off switch it will come back on sometimes, other times when I push it it turns the whole thing off as its supposed to do.

I just had the same problem with my hoover duros, the vacuum was running fine but the powerhead kept going off. I would make a sweep with it and powerhead would be running and then next sweep powerhead would shut off. I had tried checking connection and belt, etc. I thought it was the powerhead. But then I found the problem. On the duros there are 2 pieces of wands that hook powerhead to hose on canister. They both connected and clicked in fine but I decided to check them separately. I hooked just one piece to hose and powerhead and then turned it on and then I did the other piece. ta-dah! that's what it was...it was only one section of the wand. When I hooked them up separately, one piece the powerhead worked totally fine and vacuumed like normal. When I removed that piece of wand and tried the second piece (actually the bottom section when both are hooked together) the powerhead did not work at all. So I just need to get a new section of wand. Hope this helps!

I don't know how to change the bag for the machine, bag # SR 401010. Vaccum is Maytag Legacy series. Is there a diagram or picture to show how to replace the bag. Thanks

http://www.hoover.com/CustomerService/Manuals/Default.aspx Enter your model number on Hoover's website to view or print a manual. I suspect that you may have accidentally discarded the bag frame ( part # 93001544 ), which holds the bag in position.

Hoover S3590 Bagged Canister Vacuum power issue

The problem you are describing sounds like to be electrical in the cord reel. I would take it to a repair shop for estimate, sometimes these can be repaired rather than replaced. If under warranty, I would definitely take it in.

Hi,My agitator brush won't run on my hoover S3590, I changed the belt, that didn't work. I don't see a possible cause in my book except replacing the belt. I think there could be a short, the brush will...

Hi Bobbie Take apart the electro floor head if you can and inspect inside - it may well be that there's clogged dust preventing the brush from turning and also check both sides of the actual beater bar as thread and tangled hair can often lead to a brush turning every so often.
