I usualy fix broken boards but if the crack is around a very small circuit traces it will be almost impossible to fix it.

Looking for replacement picture tube, dropped set, now left, from front view, 22% of screen has green tent, along with several spots that a simple degause will fix--suggestions please!!!

The replacement picture tube new "if available" would cost more than a new set, unless you are lucky enough to find a good used one. but it sounds like the shadow mask inside the original tube has shifted, not sure how effective degaussing will be.

JVC AV27230 had a bright white screen with lines across it. now just went black

You may have a power supply issue and at the flyback transformer .
There also may be components in the circuit surrounding the fly-back that are malfunctioning.
The issue points to a repair at the board level. A tech will be able to determine this with test where the issue is on the main board.
I hope this helps.

Broke the Cable input out of the back when moving the TV. Do I need to replace the board and if so do you know the model # and where I can find the part?

that depends on where the break is. may get away with a strip connector if it is just inside the casing of the tv. if broken on the pcb then you will probably require new board.

I have an older big screen, and it makes this clicking sound.

Is this the actual model # AV-32F475?
If so, sounds like you have a shorted color filament within the picture tube. Could also be a video output going bad, causing intermittent shutdown when the CRT's beam current reached overload.

I have a JVC AV-32F475 and the picture is now hour glass shaped.Any info on repair would be great. Thanks CHRIS.

Sounds like a pincushion problem. There is a knob or setting you can adjust for this problem. More then likely, a resistor has burnt out near the pincushion control, and trying to adjust it will not help very much.

you should be able to repair the traces if you do it carefully. That small circuit board is way over 300.00 if you can find it.

JVC AV-32730 36" picture problem..

From what you describe, a solder joint has probably cracked loose in a power supply or deflection circuit, which is quite common. Since you do sometimes see a good picture, all of your major components are fine. Repairing cracked solder joints is a very easy procedure and definately worth fixing on a 32 inch TV. The first 2 digits of the model number indicate the size of the TV.

it sounds like a pin-cussion correction circuit failure. A tricky circuit to troubleshoot even for an experienced tech. check servicemanuals.net for info
