Hi,
If you follow AC cord of oven that will surely take you to Fuse in unit. Schematics are not available for your Sanyo oven.

Does the machine show any signs of power?
If it does you may need to change the lamp bulb and not a fuse

Ok then it sounds like the power board needs to be replaced. On most machines this can cost just as much as a new microwave. I have not been able to locate the part for your particular model.

Hi there,

If the range or oven is receiving power but doesn't work, the unit may have its own fuse or circuit breaker assembly. This assembly is usually located under the cooktop of the range. In some units, lift the top of the range to gain access to the fuse assembly; or lift the elements, remove the drip pans, and look on the sides of the cabinets. Inside the oven, look to the back to spot the fuse assembly.

To replace a blown fuse, unscrew the old fuse and install a new one of the same type and electrical rating. If the unit has circuit breakers, push the breaker or reset button, which is usually located on the control panel.

hope this initial info/idea helps.

just let me know for further assistance.

thank you

No lights - Acts Like It Has No Power At All

see the diagram and pictorial and proceed with common sense:
1) test the fuse for open or band contact with VOM,see the diagram attached how to do it
2)check the switch door hook or door release button, when they are broken they do not touch the switch, and will NOT start. test for open
see the diagram

I did a google search for the service manual and found one from Sanyo support. From that I was able to figure out how to open the unit safely, and find the fuses and safety switches to check. I found a loose wire plugged onto the main interlock switch (don't know how it worked all this time for how loose it was...). Re-attached it, and now it works fine.
WARNING! There can be very hi voltages on the inside of the uwave so you really need to be careful and know what you are doing! Also, you need a special bit to remove a couple of the cover screws.

Sanyo microwave model em-s5002w won't heat...sounds louder

Sounds like a component failure in the microwave circuit.

It will be one or more of the following -

Fuse
Diode
Capacitor
Transformer
Magnetron

Reply back and I can help you more. These failures happens to new or old microwaves.
