My sansa will turn on but it will just stay on the sandisk logo and keep repeating that and i cant get to the main menu or anything what should i do

the software of your player is corrupt. It must have gotten a virus from either your PC or any other that it was inserted into. This is why the player cannot load even when it try's to.

Your player needs to be flashed, that is, the software needs to be reinstalled.

This can be done by experts that specializes on mp3 software installation.

Take care

Refurbished Sansa 1gb Mp3 player loses recently downloaded songs

Three may be virus in it. Also there may be a problem in the Memory Chip. Try for Low Level Format the device.

I think that my sansa e260 have a virus, which could be the solution?

Reset All
If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds.
This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation
will be gone.....IF that doesn't work try to the update software and install then lock your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to the computer Star the update software if it doesn't start automatic goto /start /all programs /Sandisk/sansa updater/ sansa updater and start it up manually... follow instructions on the updater and the sansa hope this works.... My new Dell Vostro does not recognise the Sansa e250, my previous Dell Latitude D620 immediately found it and connected (via USB)

i think the reason may be due to virus attack or the corruption of running softwares in your e250 mp3.also you should install the driver of your mp3 in the lap

Rec. problem regarding

If I virus attacked your player (none has, I'm pretty certain) you could reset it. More probably your firmware or memory is defective and the only solution is to exchange it.

I think my Sansa has a virus

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:

Sandisk sansa mp3

k, so now the SanDisk sansa m240 1GB mp3 player, when you turn it on, it freezes. I have tried to change the battery and everything and it still wont work. What is happening here? others that have had the same problem. I researched this online and found out that there was a rather large bad batch of these mp3 players shipped in December. they suggest calling sandisk tech support at 1-866-726-3475 for a replacement and getting a RMA number or going back to where you bought it and exchanging it.
