Question about Acer V193w LCD Monitor
Go to Control Panel - - - - - - -> Personalizaton- - - - - - -> Display Settings.
Their you get the option of changing your Display Resolution as per your requirement.
I think 1440 x 900 will be the optimum settings for your monitor.
