The spring went on our dpp2 dualit toaster, when this happens the toaster stays On permanently. I would recomend buying a safer toaster rather than trying to fix this dangerously designed toaster.

I would like to setup a network connection between Beyonwiz dpp2 192.168.1.100 to an Imac 21.5" my network is using DHCP I can ping and Traceroute to the Beyonwiz all ok My dpp2 does not see the Mac

It doesn't look like that PVR was designed to interact with Macs. Of course, there are workarounds, if you're ready to dive into your Mac:

Wont pop up old toastmaster toaster

Hi mon42,

The 'click' sound indicates that the pop up mechanism is most likely intact. The problem of not popping up is most certainly caused by a worn or broken or disconnected spring which forces the toast to pop up once it's done.
You will need to take the toaster apart and look for the mechanism which pops the toaster up (look for the mechanism attached to the tray in which the toast lies). There should be a spring, or remnants of a spring, which should be fairly easily replaceable with a similar spring. This should be readily available from your local appliance spares store.

Please let me know if I can help any further or furnish you with more details. As your toaster is very old, it will be too difficult to find any documentation on the specific model.

Best wishes,
Graeme.

My Krups FBC 1 toaster oven has a broken spring for the glass door.

Most of the time a hardware store will have a variety of springs or try home depot.
That's if you only don't want to wait for a manufactors spring.

I can't figure out how it goes back together. The toaster lever wasn't working, so my wife took out the crumb tray and turned the toster upside down thing something was jammed. A long metal rod and long...

That long rod and spring sound like the rod that the opperating lever rides on, kind of a guide, the spring is what pops it up when the toast is done .. should be sitting verticle in a groove or hole in the opperating lever.

Door spring broke on Cruisinart CTO 350 series Toaster Oven

I had same problem with my cuisinar 350 series broken door spring. After disassembly found a broken extension spring measuring about 3/16 dia.,by 6.5 inches long.Spring was broken about a third down. I lifted ,or bended a loop and a halve up from each broken section and joined the two sections together. lifting each loop of the spring is tricky at first, requires a small screwdriver to be inserted between loop to be lifted and then gently bent the loop with needlenose pliers.
Not knowing how to disassemble the unit I had a hard time assembling the unit back.
I would start by taking off the screws holding the front black backlite first, then the main cover.
The main stainless steel cover does not have to be removed completely, by just gently unbending
the cover I was able to access the spring for removal.
Lots of luck

Spring in door

I have the same problem. The end broke off. I heated the end with a torch and bent a new loop (cooled it in cold water). I hope it will work for a while. I could find a replacement on the internet. To get to the spring, just remove the left side panel (3 screws)
