I have the same problem. It seems like the fan shaft is ceazed up in the motor. It looks like a sealed unit with no oil ports. Very disapointed with this product, seems others are having the same problem.

My furnace works but their is a humming coming from the transformer when it shuts off

Call an electricist. You might have some serious problem in the transformer. That ·humming" sound might be the transformer burning out!

My window air conditioner worked last year and we took it out of storage and now it hums and will sound like its going on but then starts humming again.

Sounds like your compressor is locked up. You can try replacing the capacitor for the fan and compressor but you will probably have to replace compressor. With a window unit its probably not in your best interest to do that just replace if thats the issue. Please rate me if this is helpful.

I have a intertherm furnace and split intherm heat pump when i turn the thermostat on it just seems to hum out side at the heat pump whats the problem

First thing to check is to see if you have electric out there. The hum is probably the 24 volt relay that is telling the a/c to come on. The 24 volt relay gets it's power from the indoor unit.

Air Handler Blower Unit Humming

More then likely it's the transformer. It may be getting weak. I've seen them hum/vibrate almost new and last for years. It's more an annoyance than anything.

My new Amana compressor Central Air-Heat Pump hums very loudly

When it hums, is it running? Or does it not run when it hums? I'm assuming it runs when you say you have to turn the therm off to get the noise off.. If it's humming and not running, you have big problemo friend..

It is probably either the Compressor and or the capacitor that has failed. The compressor will hum and pull a lot of amps when it has seized up. Sounds like it is time for a new unit.

Hums and freezes up????

The fan motor must have been stopping. If the fan stops, for sure the fins will freeze because there is no air flowing. common Fan motor problems defective bearing or bushing and starting condenser. If the bearing is defective, it will heat up and seize. Have the fan motor checked. The fact that the fins are freezing, means that there is enough freon and the compressor is working.
