Have 22 HP briggs engine on a snapper zero turn mower. it will only run with the choke pulled out.

Change your air filter, spark plug, fuel filter, and oil. Then make sure the gas is fresh. Gas starts going bad after a month. Spray carb cleaner in hole underneith the fuel filter. Oh yea dont put more than 20oz of oil in it.

first thing is to check that plug is not fowling up when hot due to motor burning to much oil.

2 suggestions: 1. Check the fuel cap for pluggage, paying particular attention to the pinhole vent in the cap, and 2. Clean the air filter. A plugged (or nearly plugged) filter can also cause these symptoms.
