Question about Canon i9950 InkJet Printer
Have tried changing the cartridges which are running low. But each time I go to print it comes up with Operator Error (!) yellow hazard sign - it tells me to press the printers resume button and if that does not work then to turn printer off and on. This does not work! Still does the error when switched off and on. First problem I have had with this great little printer for 2 years now. Can anyone help!!!??? Thank you
If the amber light flashes 7 times, it is the printhead, or associated electronics, that has failed. It is possible to clean the printhead with pure alcohol and then distilled water, or you could try a propriatory cleaning cartridge. The printhead is a user replacable part, but quite expensive. If it is the electronics then it is a job for Canon. If this printer has had a fair amount of use over the past couple of years it may be worthwhile getting it serviced by Canon.

Many models of printers each with thier own little quirks. Check out the Manual -there is probably a comprehensive version on the software CD. Check out www.fixyourownprinter.com entering you make and model number. you could also reinstall the software. try these software first them come back
