Question about Canon i9950 InkJet Printer

Getting an Operator Error each time I go to print

Have tried changing the cartridges which are running low. But each time I go to print it comes up with Operator Error (!) yellow hazard sign - it tells me to press the printers resume button and if that does not work then to turn printer off and on. This does not work! Still does the error when switched off and on. First problem I have had with this great little printer for 2 years now. Can anyone help!!!??? Thank you

Hi,
If the amber light flashes 7 times, it is the printhead, or associated electronics, that has failed. It is possible to clean the printhead with pure alcohol and then distilled water, or you could try a propriatory cleaning cartridge. The printhead is a user replacable part, but quite expensive.If it is the electronics then it is a job for Canon. If this printer has had a fair amount of use over the past couple of years it may be worthwhile getting it serviced by Canon.

Many models of printers each with thier own little quirks. Check out the Manual -there is probably a comprehensive version on the software CD. Check out www.fixyourownprinter.com entering you make and model number. you could also reinstall the software. try these software first them come back

Canon pixma mp272 printer. replaced black cartridge for the first time and now it wont print. getting error p08 on the printer and error 5200 on my laptop screen


Hello Hellen,
the error P08 is error for abnormal temperature in print head. Aa possible cause the ink cartridge is faulty and needs to be replaced.The same error description is for 5200 on your PC.

I recommend that you try to replace ink cartrigde under warranty in store where you bought it. If after that you still have error, take the printer to the service center because they logic board ( pcb ) is faulty.

How to fix error 1203


ERROR 1203 LEXMARK ERROR 1200 Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Reset Factory Defaults on the Dellâ„¢ 964 or 966 Printer

To reset factory defaults on the printer, perform the following steps:

1. Press the down arrow button until Maintenance is highlighted and press the Select button.

2. Press the down arrow button until Reset Defaults is hightlighted and press the Select button.

3. The printer displays a confirmation message. Highlight Yes and press the Select button

Note:
Some settings such as phone lists, time, date, and country are not changed.

Error 1203


The error 1203 error message on the operator panel could indicate a problem with one of the ink cartridges. Please follow the steps given below:

1. Please make sure the All-In-One is powered on.
2. Pull the control panel towards you, and then open the cartridge access door. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position.
3. Pull the old cartridges towards you, and then lift them out.
4. With the cartridges out of the printer, shut the access door and the control panel.
5. Power the printer OFF and then back ON.
6. Please check the operator panel to see if the same error has returned or if a new message has appeared.
7. If the message displayed is 1203, there is something wrong with the printer hardware.
If the message now displaying is Cartridge Missing, do the following:

1. Reinstall the cartridges into the printer.
2. Insert the color cartridge in the left carrier. Insert the black cartridge in the right carrier.
3. Push back firmly on the cartridges until they snap securely into place.
4. Close the cartridge access door, and then close the control panel.
5. If the 1203 message is still present on the operator panel, you need to insert one cartridge at a time to determine which cartridge is producing the failure.
6. With one cartridge in the carrier, close the access door and control panel.
7. Please check the operator panel. If the 1203 error is displayed, this cartridge is the defective item. If the Cartridge Missing message is displayed, the second cartridge is producing the failure.
8. Please replace the defective cartridge.

LEXMARK X63 NOT RECONIZING LEFT CART.


I did find a procedure online to clear the memory and that did the
trick. Here it is, may help someone in the future:

Open lid, take both cartridges out. Physically remove the power cord from outlet or back of unit. While pressing the Stop/Clear button, plug cord back and kee pressing until a message saying "clearing memory" comes on. Reinstall ink. You're done, the message should go away.

Follow the steps given below:
1. Snap the cartridges in and out three times.
2. On the operator panel, press Options to indicate which cartridges were changed.
3. Press Start / Yes.
4. Press Options to indicate the type of cartridge you installed.
5. Press Start / Yes.
If the problem persists, do the following:
1. With the printer powered on, remove both cartridges.
2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer
3. With the printer disconnected, insert the cartridges and reconnect the power cable.

I keep getting cartridge error or it prints a blank page. There is no tape on the cartridge and they are installed properly. It prints sometimes but not all the time Printer keeps saying cartridge error


This has been just happening with me aswell - I just changed the colour cartridge with the black cartridge ran out but i kept it in as it told me to place one in. Trying to print out but black ink wont come - just blank pages - surely the colour cartridge can make black? However, if you have the colour cartridge and are on microsoft word or similar, change the colour of the writing to dark navy and it will print out documents.

Cannon mx310 will not recognize cartridge


press reset/stop button for 5 seconds. it will still say unknown but it will print fine

Dell All-In-One printer getting carrier jam message


u can try reseating the cartridges......then try disconnecting & reconnecting the power supply brick & cable assembly.....also, do u get the communication error on the operator panel of the prntr or the computer??
