I recently purchased a 1997 Toyota Tercel CE model. The vehicle has been very well maintained and drives like a dream. It has 163,885 Klm. on it. I do not have any mechanical problems with this vehicle. It is currently receiving a tune up and summer tires are being put on the vehicle. This vehicle has no rust anywhere on it and the paint finish is original. I am looking to obtain an owners manual for this vehicle. Do you know where I can find one.

Has anyone changed the sparkplugs recently? If so make sure they are the correct ones or it could be having an electrical interference as these vehicles are known to happen.
I have been having the same problem with the alternator belt squealing, most noticeably, when using the heater fan , accelerating, turning the headlights on. I have a 1997 Toyota Tercel CE 1.5L 4cyl with no A/C. I just tightened the belt tight enough that there is no give to the belt and it does not squeal anymore.
I also used a Goodyear Gatorback from Napa belt which seems to be nice and quiet when tight enough.
Yes they have these. Oh, you need one? The easiest way to get them is to go to Auto Zone and Purchase a Haynes repair manual on your Year, Make and Model vehicle.
You can easily determine capacity by changing the oil, with filter. After adding three quarts, start and run the engine, then carefully fill it 'till it is full. Wait at least one minute between each time you add more oil so it has time to drain into the pan. When it reads full you will know the exact amount needed. Write it down and know it forever!! Offhand I believe it's closer to four than three.
