I put a disc into the dvd recorder but it just keeps trying to read it and will not open/eject the disc. What can i do?

- I have the same problem. I inserted a dvd yesterday and it kept "reading" it.. it does not eject or do anything else now. What can be the solution?- GuestSolution #2

Try turning off the unit.
BEFORE you power it On... Press the Disc Tray Open/Close button... then turn the power On with the Open/Close button depressed.
I've had this work on a number of different DVD players and even some professional grade videotape machines.
