Question about Danze D405046 Bellefleur Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray - Chr...

Water flow is too powerful..

Hi,
We recently installed a Danze faucet in our kitchen: http://www.efaucets.com/detail.asp?Product_ID=D405046
The problem is that the water coming out of it is too powerful, and in a way too 'concentrated'.  We have solved similar issues with other kitchen faucets in the past by just screwing on a filter thing that can be bought at Home Depot.  But this faucet does not have the external thread to accept this type of filter.
My wife is convinced it is not just a matter of putting pressure reducing valve in the supply line - that it is related to how the water actually comes out of the faucet.
Please advise...
Thanks, Tim.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Perhaps I was not clear enough - it is hard to explain.  I will certainly try the water shutoffs idea - that's a good idea.

Perhaps the best word is 'diffuse' - ideally I would like to have the same pressure, or volume of water coming out, but diffuse the water so it is a wider stream and less concentrated.

easiest thing to do is turn the shut-off valve under the sink to half open, or adjust to what ever amount of water you want.

I got you, you want a screen to be put on the spout!
check the inside of the spout. there may be a internal thread, if it is, then you can get a external thread screen from home depot.

Tim, It sounds like you just have to much pressure in your home period. You should not be having to put anytype of pressure reducers on your faucets. I recommened that you go to your pressure regulator outside and adjust it to make the pressure in your house drop. There is a little bolt that you adjust. Screw in and the pressure drops, out the pressure rises

How to replace seats and springs on delta 978-sd kitchen faucet

Shut your water off to the faucet and remove lever handle by untighting the set screw on the handle with a 1/8" allen wrench. Remove handle and sleeve that handle sits on to gain access to stem to remove seats and springs I have included a web site go to it and click on parts diagram to get a exspoded view of internal parts.

We do not have book on the kitchen faucet which was purchased by a previous owner. Looks just like the Danze D306357BN. It is leaking from the first joint above the base. A plumber could only tell us that...

there are several O-rings inside the spout assembly. 3 that I know of from memory.<br /> <br /> here is a link to the PDF parts breakdown to show your plumber. also that faucet is for the bathroom sink.<br /> <a href="http://www.danze.com/product_details.asp?g=2&amp;mg=5&amp;id=D306357BN">http://www.danze.com/product_details.asp?g=2&amp;mg=5&amp;id=D306357BN</a><br /> the link to the PDF is at the bottom of the page "illistrated parts list" <br /> <br /> here is the link to the kitchen faucet. just click on the "illistrated parts list" to get the breakdown.<br /> <a href="http://www.danze.com/product_details.asp?g=1&amp;mg=1&amp;id=D414357">http://www.danze.com/product_details.asp?g=1&amp;mg=1&amp;id=D414357</a><br /> <br /> if neither one of these is your faucet, just continue looking through till you find yours, and call a different plumber.<br /> <br /> hope that helps<br />

Hi just moved in new home love it but the water pressure in kitchen is very low but the two baths i have the water pressure is fine can you help me please

One thing you could try is to remove the aerator at the end of the spout on the faucet, Turn water on and see if pressure is any better. If so the aerator is got something in it restricting the flow.
You also can remove the dime shaped flat in the aerator to increase water flow. It looks like a dime with a hole about 1/8" in center to restrict the flow to about 1.6 gpm. Remove it and reinstall aerator and check water flow

Most of the times when cold and hot side of faucet. It would be the first thin to check being you have good water pressure at other faucets. They catch debris and the flow slows down from the faucet's. Check out supply lines and faucet for a blockage if this doesn't take care of the problem.

Check out this web sire for a parts breakdown of parts in faucet. Check out installation and rough in sheet for information on faucet below.

What makes the faucet bind?

I'm just installing the exact same faucet and I found that the side to side motion was binding if I tightened the tap too much from the bottom with the nut & "c" shaped clamp with the 2 set screws. Not sure what it could be if yours was fine & started having trouble.
They have support contact info on their website that you may want to try: http://www.danze.com/customer_support.asp
Good Luck,
-David.

Looking for parts breakdown picture for DANZE NSF 61 Kitchen Faucet Any Links?

NSF 61(-9) is a standard rather than the model number (it's often very difficult to identify the model number. If you are able to find the model number, the link attached has all the technical specs for Danze products (even discontinued ones). http://www.danze.com/tech_specs.asp

Otherwise, I suggest browsing their faucet section until you find yours.

Good luck.
