Hi. This might indicate that your TV is eiter in "channel " mode or in "number" mode. Channel is rhe real channel from the transmitter, (being 2-62, S channel) while the number is the one you change by your remote. There must be a way in the menu/tuning where you choose between both.
I'm not sure about the model number of your TV, as here it is marked as both "27MS343S and 32MF338B/F7". Anyway I gies this solution as for the first denoted.
Insert antena to the antena socket at the back side of your TV marked as 75Ohms antena input.
Press "Menu" button on the remote control handset to display menu on screen.
Press "Vol+ or Vol--" button repetedly to hilight "TUN" [Tuner].
Press "Ch+ or Ch--" button to hilight 'AUTOPROGRAM"
Press "Vol+" to programming tv channels.
Tv will tune and store channels transmitted channels at that time, through entire bands, and will display the first channel receved after tuning process completed. It may take some minutes. You have to wait it to complete. After displaying the first channel, you can select your favourite channel Using CH+ or CH--" buttons. Ok.
Press Menu on the TV (second button from the left) or the remote. Use the Vol + / Vol - buttons to highlight Tuner, only available when the input is the TV (press TV/AV to get to the correct source) mode. Press Ch+/Ch- to highlight AutoProgram and then Vol+ to start the search for channels. The TV will show Tuning Finished when done and then go to the lowest channel found. If you want to add or remove stations, tune to the desired channel, then press Menu, and highlight Tuner, Ch+/Ch- to highlight Add/Erase, then Vol+/Vol- to set Add or Erase. Press TV/AV/Exit to get out of the menu.
No it only supports analog. I'm pretty sure no CRT TV would be digital reception. Here is a link... Scroll down until you see the specs. First line is your answer: http://www.ciao.com/Sharp_32F540_CRT_TV_CRT__10021988#productdetail
If you are in the US, the TV set has to be on channel 3 or 4, if your in the UK, the TV would have to be on a UHF channel. It should say on the RF output of the VCR what station you must tune to ,or in the instruction book of the VCR. Good Luck
