Electrial nightmere! I acquired a ford explorer through a private indivual and it looks like someone has tried to replace orginal sterio and rearview mirror splicing into the orginal wiring. I need the wiring diagrams for the truck to solve some agravating electrical issues that are a result of someone messing with the wiring! HELP!

Remove the visor clips on both sides of the overhead console bracket. You can then pull down the headliner just enough to slide the bracket out over the rearview mirror.
look in the fuse box see if you have one for the radio. i had the same problem when i had a dawoe car. went back to the dealer a and showed me the fuse. just remove and replaced. like reset the car
The Green one on the rearview sounds like an autodimmer. (tints the rearview mirror from bright headlights behind you) & the Red one on the dash could be an alarm warning light

o to the auto parts store and buy a rear view mirror ask them for the rearview mirror adhesive and on the back of the package it tells you how to use it.its not very hard to do and isntexpensive to buy. takes about 15 minutes
i dare say your cd player has had something move internally from the shock of the accident and thats whats causing the fault. lol either that or someone has gone and forced a 7th cd into it. i think the cheapest and easiest way to fix this would be to get a fascia kit and a new cd player beacuse ford will charge like a wounded bull for a replacement one. this is what i did after i serviced my car and got given the wrong code for the cdplayer from the ford dealership
