Hi friend, I'm really sorry for your problem.. But it could be easily fixed. Don't worry.

>> if your device was still in warranty period its easy to fix. Just give the device to the nearest conair service center along with your warranty details or bill. >> If not, It's better calling the toll free customer service number of your device manufacturer that will be in your manual.
>> If nothing works, then the best way to seek professional help. Get it to the nearest service center to make the device work for you.. All the best.. don't forget to vote me..
Good luck. :)

Will not dial out on pulse on one line, works on second line

try changing phone to tone dialing . one phone line has been setup for Decadic dialing and the other line may be setup for tone dialing.
If tone dialing is working on one line but not the other then get phone company to change the dialing type on the phone line.
Dual tone multi frequency is the technical name for tone dialing and is more efficient than decadic dialing or pulse dialing.

No dial tone, what should I do?

take anotehr phone that you know that is working and plug it into the same wall Telephone plug. If you get dial tone it means your original phone is faulty. If not.. then you must contact your service provider to send out a tecnician to check your line from the local exchange. In south Africa you should get 52Volt dc on your line ..

I can not get a dial tone ??? CID244W

This can be a shorting in the input line of the telephone which makes the input voltage of about 50 Volt DC drain into the switching device.
So trace the voltage drain into the circuit to confirm.

Set time and date

I picked up a cid 244w phone at goodwill because it will work with the power out. With a lot of fiddling around I found that if you push the erase button and hold it, then push the review arrow down button the menu starts. It starts with Contrast then to language, area code, date and time, and lastly tone or pulse.Set it to tone,Pulse is the old rotary dial phones. You scroll through the menu by pushing the erase button and change things with the review up and down buttons. If you wait too long to change something the menu automatically advances. If the item you want to change passes by just start over. Good luck, I hope this helps
