When I took pictures to get the details of the subject in close up, it was blurry . my camera is canon power shop S51s

I am assuming that you did not set your camera for closeup work, which is why it was out of focus. Try setting for closeup (tulip icon usually) and see if that does not solve the problem. If you did set for closeup it is possible that the lens is dirty or smudged which will cause focus problems when doing close in work. Hope this helps.

We have just purchased the Sony L32EX500 LCD television and I cannot find the instructions in the operating manual for altering the aspect of the picture. When using a DVD the picture has been modified to...

Probably the easiest way to get you going in the right direction is to supply you with the instruction manual.
Heres a link to Sony and should pull up the download. You will need adobe reader if you dont have it. Theres a link to its download there as well..
Good Luck

When I switch on the camera the LCD screen shows a smudged image at whatever it is pointing at, please advise?

Do you have it set for closeups? Mine has one and it's placement made it easy to hit by accident just pulling it out of the case,

So I shoot all the beautiful pictures, including mule deer, in the wenatchee state forest in the mountain range onyl to find out, when I got home and saw them on a larger screen they appeared blurry and smudged.

How far is the image from you? Try a closeup on a flower, if it clears up you know it's switched.

Otherwise clean the lense with a lens kit.

My Jazz JDC25 cannot take closeup pictures without blurring. Is there a button or switch for macro mode that I can't find. Can it even do closeups?

According to the specifications for the camera, the focus range is from 19.62 inches to infinity, so anything closer than this will be progressively more blurred, depending on the distance. The camera has no macro focus options. The specs also say that this is a 0.3MP camera with VGA (640x480) resolution. Unless this is strictly a camera intended for web graphics, its' uses are quite limited anyway and an upgrade may be worth considering. Most modern point and shoot digital cameras have excellent macro abilities at a very reasonable price. To me, this might be worth considering. I like the Olympus lenses for macro work in this catagory and there are several others worth considering as well- Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Panasonic all offer great options for close-up photography at reasonable prices.

Wish I could give you better news, but am guessing that camera is quite old.

Red ghosting on images that are not closeup

1. Power off -- let bulb cool.
2. Display - 5 - VOL+ - Power (in quick sequence) to display service menu.
3. Go into the user menu and set auto revision back to auto.
4. Put an image on the screen that shows the problem. I always found the edges of a 4:3 aspect ratio signal displayed the ghosting very well on my set.
5. Use 2 to scroll through the categories to find D GM TG
6. Use 1 to scroll through items in D GM TG to find V POS D
7. Write down current value.
9. Use 3 and 6 to change the value to minimize the ghosting. You should only need to move it up or down a value or two.
10. Press Mute - Enter to save the changes.
11. Power off and let the bulb cool.
