I just put in a new igniter. It lights up. But the dryer is still not heating. What could be my problem? Thank you!

Hi, that could be several issues, if the dryer is running but not heating then depending on the model could be a bad thermostat, bad thermistor, bad Hi limit thermostat etc; would need more info to be specific. Here is a good article but may not pertain to your model:
Electric Dryer Runs But Doesnt Heat

Admiral Dryer, runs bu t does not heat

The thermostat, timer or the heating element itself are the places to check. Look at the circuit breaker for the dryer in the power panel. It will be two breakers connected together. If one trips but not both, the heating element will not heat but the dryer will run.

Check that you have added the smoke fluid (oil) to the engine and that it has not run dry. The smoke from the engine is generated by a small chamber with a heating element built in. The heating element gets hot as the loco runs and heats the smoke fluid up which in turn creates the steam/smoke. If there is no fluid the heating element can over heat and will smell as you describe. Not sure if your model has a smoke effect on/off switch, if it has switch it off if you do require the smoke effect.

My dryer turns on and runs but the clothes are not drying. its a crosley dryer and relatively new. checked lint filter and vaccumed up dust and lint and made sure that the screen and exhaust were clear

Sounds like the heating element or a fuse for the heating element. Impossible to tell you how to troubleshoot though unless I have the model type. Use google to type in your type and model number along with heating element (i.e., GE XXXXXX heating element troubleshooting) and you'll likely find some instructions for troubleshooting.

Roper electric dryer will not heat after replacing heating element and thermal fuse. what's wrong.

It doesn't necessarily mean the heating element is busted when the dryer stops heating and the thermal fuse is not part of the heating circuit, it is part of the motor circuit. The heating circuit is basically composed of the heating element, thermal cut-off, high-limit thermostat, cycling thermostat, and the motor centrifugal switch. The most common part that causes the dryer not to heat is the thermal cut-off and/or the high-limit thermostat. Verify this condition by bypassing the said components. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions. Indicate the exact model number of the dryer should you need further assistance.

Troubleshooting Whirlpool and Whirlpool-Made Electric Dryers Running But Not Heating

Dryer running but not heating. How do I check heating element?

Check the following to address this non heating issue

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Running and blowing air but not heating

It would help to have a model number. But before you send one make sure you turn off the breaker to the dryer all the way off then turn it back on and see if it starts heating. If that does not work write back with your model number.

How to access heating element and thermostat on Admiral ade7000ayw dryer

The top has a hinge bracket in the back. pop the front up with a flat screw driver. you should see the heating element there and be able to access it from that point.
