Try pressing F11. You are using the new yahoo mail interface right?

How do I get my password for my yahoo mail without paying top money to tech support

The reason Yahoo charges to reset your password is for you safety. If they gave out your password to a stranger, they would have access to all of your information.
If you provided an alternate e-mail address you can have your password sent there. That does not cost anything.

Hy i hv problm on yahoo messanger i cant see sent/recived messages in yahoo chat window i hv window 7

Before we can determine what happen to your sent/received messaged, We have to check your archive preferences. If you haven't set this up before chances are your old send/receive messages are deleted once you logged off from yahoo messenger.

First Step, go to Messenger Menu -> Preferences->Archive. Make sure the option Save all messages is ticked. If not, this means you old messages are gone and please tick it on.

Second Step, if your Archive Preferences option is save all messages then Select the contact you wish to view the old messages.

Third Step, Press F3 or Click the recent messages. Once you click F3, you will see on top of message window option to view the full archive. Click it and window will pop open. Select the date of the archive you wish to view.

Display of my chat is not visible by others even i'm in visible status.

This is an issue that is cropping up more and more. If just a new problem try exiting Yahoo Messenger and then relaunching it. Even try rebooting your computer. If both those fail to solve your problem then try the suggestions below.

1) The first thing to check is to make sure you have scripting enabled in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is integrated into Yahoo Messenger so things that go wrong with IE can affect Yahoo Messenger. Here is the yahoo help page about that:…

2) In the Start Menu click on Run. Type, without the quotes, “regsvr32 jscript.dll” and then click OK. Next, repeat the process but this time type in the Run box “regsvr32 vbscript.dll” and click OK. Please note, if you are using Windows Vista temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.

3) If the above does not fix your problem and you are using Windows XP, you can update your Windows Script to version 5.7. In my experience helping others, this is the step that has helped the most people. Exit all browser windows and chat programs including Yahoo Messenger before installing. Here is link from Microsoft to update that:Download registry cleaner reg in out

Every time i access my yahoo mail the firefox.exe will pop up and there are 3 boxes that you need to click.....debug...sending error report....and ..don't send.what can i do.please help me.

In Firefox 3, by default, when user click on an email address or a URL link location that starts with mailto: protocol, the default email client, such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Mail will be opened to allow user to compose and send email to the specific recipient?s mail address. If you prefer to use web based Yahoo! Mail as your default email client, and want to let Yahoo! Mail handles all mailto: protocol, so that the automatic e-mail message composing and email sending will be done via Yahoo! webmail interface, Firefox 3 provides a very easy way to associate the mailto: link with Yahoo! mail web-based interface, in fact, it?s a built-in integration. Go to Tools -> Options. Click on Applications tab icon. Locate and click to highlight mailto Content Type, and at the corresponding drop down box of Action, select Use Yahoo! Mail. Click OK. After change, whenever a mailto: link is clicked, the email address will be sent to Yahoo! Mail account Compose web interface, with recipient automatically set at the clicked e-mail address. Of course, user has to enter user name and password credentials first if he or she hasn?t already logged in. Note: It?s also possible to set Gmail as the default mailto: handler at Firefox 3 best of luck Mel

I can not get on yahoo messenger. why? i have downloaded messenger 10 , still nothing. could you please help me get it back? thank you

Are you having a problem of logging in to your YM (Yahoo Messenger)?

First, try to access your Yahoo Mail, to verify that your user name and password are still working.

Try to login using your user name only without the domain (

Example: Let's say your email address is

Go to
Your user name should be "john.smith" only (without
Then type your password. If you can access your Yahoo Mail, then same procedure applies to Yahoo Messenger.

If same problem occur, try to access the YM in another computer, so that you can isolate the problem.

Thank you and good luck!

When i send e-mail,,,windows mail goes through, but yahoo does not,,,,and yahoo should not be trying to send...i want yahoo but its interfering with windows mail..

I assume that you can have access to your account, and also that you have Yahoo messenger installed.
If not, then download it and install it now.
Create your account, etc

Then open your browser, and click on Tools.
Select Internet Options
Look for the Programs tab and click on it.

To the right of the E-mail section, click on the dropdown arrow, and select Yahoo.
Click Apply then OK

From now on, everytime you want to send an email, Yahoo email will be your first choice.
Hope this helps
