No tp for sony cdx-c5000r

hi shawn, try deselecting the TA feature of your unit and then try tuning for stations. before doing this i assume your antenna is in good working condition. if this does not solve your problem, then "reset" the unit and retry tuning for radio stations. reset switch will be found on main unit behind the face. cheers.

Need a pic of wiring up to my van as some idio cut most the things off before i bought it,,,, iv got the sony cdx s2200 i want to put in.

The best advise I can give is to use the connection that you baught and cut of the end that connects to your VAN then you need to isolate the correct leads from your car. The chances are that they wont be the same colour so if you can get your hands on a voltmeter you should be able to find the correct leads. The manual for the stereo should tell you the correct colour wires for the head unit red=live black=neg.

Additionally, send us details about brand, year and model of your VAN, could be there some wiring diagram.

Keep in touch.

Have a Sony CDX-RA700 and I need to know where the orange and white illumination wire should hook to.

Hey
That is the wire that hooks into your headlights there should be a wire in your car loom that gets 12v dc only when the headlights are on this is the the wire that you need

Hope this helps

My face plate was stolen out of my truck. Thr operateing instructions say cdx-gt200 and cdx-gt20w. How do i determine the proper model without the face plate and can I order a replacement?

remove the stereo from your truck. underneath the head unit itself WILL have a model number along with serial number, wiring instructions, etc............. but be warned that Sony WILL charge top dollar for the faceplate, which in turn will have them sayin somethin like "We recommend buying a new unit as the faceplate will cost nearly the same price as a new unit". In saying that, ALL Sony car stereo wiring looms fit each other, so no need for reinstalling the wires. so if u can get a cheap one without loom, then you'll be fine

Cant match the coloured wires correctly from a sony cd player

LF+ Brown/White
LF- grey
RF+ light green
RF- dark green
LR+ brown
LR- yellow
RR+ dark blue
RR- yellow/green
The +12v constant, +12v switched, and ground connections you should be able to get just using a multimeter (which I would highly recommend you do anyways, just for safety's sake).
