Washer hose too short!

We just had the Maytag Centennial Washer installed yesterday and the hose is too short. Water spills out of the drain pipe and all over the floor. Are there various hose lengths to choose from or is there an extension kit that need to be purchased? Also, since it was just installed yesterday (and since we purchased the five year warranty), do you think the company should be liable for fixing the problem since it was installed incorrectly?

Be sure its not your drain pipe. Incorrect installation should be covered by the installer, but warranty companies are covering install failures for 30 days....contact the installer and place a damage report. Take pictures of the damage....also call the manufacturer, inform them of the problem they will want a technician to take a look at the unit...again will cover install failue for 1st 30days(at no charge to you) so the service company should not charge you anything. Drain hoses are usually a standard 3 feet long i believe. I'm not aware of any factory extension kit. but if you go to a hardware store and by some rubber tubing large enough to fit your drain hose and go to the drain, secured with a hose clamp at the hose and a ziptie at the drain, that should work fine.

Maytag centennial washer says 2 drain is that inside or outside diameter.my washer not drain well - overflows standpipe.

if the standpipe is overflowing then the standpipe is clogged and you have to snake the line so the water will go down the pipe,it's not the washer

Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer drains as it fills.

The water is probably siphoning out of the tub. Your drain pipe is either too low or the drain hose is down too far into the pipe. Take the drain hose out of the pipe and lift it high. I'll bet your problem goes away

Maytag centennial washer - not draining on some settings

Check outlet hose for kinks or restrictions. Make sure the outlet hose is free to expel water at full volume. Make sure the outlet hose is not mounted to high. Check pump impellor has all it's vanes intact. Check for coins in all hoses & pump.

Washer will spin to dry but water comes back after short time

how far down is the drain hose pushed in to the drain pipe?should only be like 3 to 4 inches, also the drain hose should be up higher than the water level in the tub.if you can pull out the drain hose try this, fill up the washer on small, after it fills, pull the hose out of the pipe and then stick the hose a few inches into the drain pipe and then turn the timer to the spin cycle and let it drain, after it stops, pull the drain hose out of the pipe,if no water enters back into washer you know that it has something to do with the way the drain hose is in the pipe or another problem.if you're saying that the drain hose is sealed to the drain pipe in the wall you will have to get in there and separate it,pull out the hose and check it,it sounds like this is where the problem is,you had the pump changed and i don't know why the guy would do this if the washer was draining so you know that's not the problem and if they changed the water valve on the washer you know water isn't leaking into the washer from the valve so i would check the drain hose.hope this helps

My Maytag washer pumps water out of the washer faster than it will drain out of the stand pipe. Is there a way I can reduce the rate the water comes out of the washer? George

No sorry thier is no way to reduce the rate of drainage..the standpipe should be able to handle it,what i believe the problem is that the standpipe is partially blocked and needs to be snaked out to clean it or try some liquid plumber to clear the restriction in the pipe

Waste drain does not take in water, spills out.

Replace the clogged drain pipe. You need a plumber. Washer is ok.
