First, please open a document in Paint or Work and print it out to make sure the machine and driver are working.

Please describe what happens when you select the Print option from the file menu in your browser.

Also describe what happens when you use the Print Preview option.

Also, what browser are you using?

Do not print after a paper jam

Do a total power drain in your printer.

Turn it off. Unplug it from the wall outlet and from your computer. Make sure that you remember where those plugs to put back.

While turned off and unplugged, press and hold the power button of your printer to 8-10 seconds to drain the power.

After doing that, plug it in to the wall-outlet. Turn it on. Connect it to the printer. Turn off then turn it back on. Try printing. IT should work.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I hope this helps!

Why wont my wii controlers work?

I just had the same problem and the solution is pretty simple.

Step 1: Make sure system is off
Step 2: Unplug system from outlet and leave unplugged for a couple minutes
Step 3: Plug back into outlet and turn on the system
Step 4: Sync them up

Also, a frozen system that is not responding both through the controller and can be fixed simply by unplugging it from the outlet and giving it a couple seconds.

The print carriage is stuck.

  1. Open the top access door on the printer.
  2. Remove the print cartridges.
  3. Close the print cartridge flaps after removing the print cartridges.
  4. Turn the printer off and then on again.
  5. Replace the print cartridges.
  6. Close the top access door.
If the resume light continues to blink after the print cartridges are released,

the print carriage is stuck or makes a grinding noise, follow these steps.

  1. Lift the top cover to the printer.
  2. Turn the printer off and then on again.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Move the print carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct).
  5. Take out the print cartridges and close the top cover.
  6. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  7. Open the top cover, reinstall the print cartridges, and then close the top cover

  1. Open the top cover.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait a minute or so.
  3. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet

Wireless printing problems

I dont believe that you have done a wireless printing before. Or do you run another modell as the shown MFC420CN?

In case you mean you have printed wirelessly through a wireless router, you have to check the network connection:

Have a look around here:

If you try to print/scan/fax by USB instead of useing the network make sure that the USB drivers are installed properly (either network OR Usb ;-))
