FL Code I have the infamous calypso washer and it recently displayed the FL code. I have the front panel off and the back. I see the 2 hoses and plan to disconnect and check to see if they are clogged. I remember the last time, I had the LD code and the technician showed me my underwires from my bras in the pump. How do I check that pump area? what do I need to do? Thanks!

FL Flood condition "FL" flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lock condition in order for "FL" to be displayed.

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

WHAT DOES FL MEAN AND HOW DO I FIX MY WASHER WHEN

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

Error code "LD" displays, what do I do next?

an LD code indicates a long drain was detected by the control.check for a kink in the drain hose. the most common reason for this code is something caught in the pump. many times a piece of clothing(small sock, shoe lace or string from a sweatshirt etc..) gets stuck and restricts the water flow to the drain...the pump can be removed by tipping the washer forward approx 45 degrees(use something to prop the washer up so it doesnt fall all the way to the floor)then remove the back panel. the pump will be gray &have 2 hoses. calypsos used 2 styles of pump . one was integrated into the pump motor and the other was attached to the pump motor with 2 springclips.remove the clamps on the hoses and see if you can see whats caught inside..if the foreign object is wrapped up in the pump too tightly you will have to replace the pump..if you have to replace the pump and it comes as part of a new motor.,the front panel will have to come off to unplug the pump motor and plug in the new one. there is a space at the top of the front panel where it meets the lid, use a putty knife to release 2 clips so you can lift the lid up. you will see several screws along the top.remove them and the front panel will come off . you wil be able to see where the pumpmotor plugs in. . you will have to work in front and behind the washer. always unplug the washer before doing any work on your appliance. hope this helps get you back up and running...

Calypso fl error

Look along the seam in the front of the washer where the top meets the front panel. About two inches in from each side is a retaining clip. If you take a putty knife and push in on the clip while lifting up on the top, the top of the washer should open up. You may need the assistance of another person and use two putty knives at the same time. It can be a bit tricky sometimes, but the top does open in this manner. Once you have the top open, carefully rest it against the wall behind the washer. There will be a screw holding the front panel on at each top corner. Once you remove the screws, the front panel should come off exposing all the internal components of the washer. You can also remove the back panel for additional access. I hope this helps you.
