cant sign in to windows live messenger. it was working a few months ago. recently changed antivirus from avg to eset.
keeps asking if im on internet.
im using virgin which is excellent.
tried updating, too many options, do i have too allow everything.

dont use this email system. prefer gmail & fastmail.fm
used to have yahoo messenger. deleted it as it was too intrusive.
my skype works ok.
ohhh! might it be messenger needs access through firewall?
had messenger and it put an exception in firewall with a tick.[always untick when not using service] assumed live messenger would do the same. does it use old messenger link.

Are u able to login to windows live and check e-mails??
Open windows live meesenger -> Tools-> options -> Connction -> Start the connection troubleshooter.
Let me know the status.
