Question about Lincoln Welding Tools

1 Answer

Welder will not start. The reset button usually will pop out by its self after attempting to start it several times. This time it stays pushed in and will not start. It seems to not be getting enough fuel. The little pump that runs off of the reset button appears to have a loose terminal. I am thinking maybe the little pump or the reset button box that all the wires tie in. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help. You need to check the reset button and if it is a small red cylinder shape and says tattle tale on it you will have to actually hold in the button while starting and continue to hold it for a few seconds after it is running with the choke completely off. thats just a common problem ppl have other than that if the motor turns over and never fires then i would have to say that u are on the right track

hope that helps some but without knowing what brand of welder it is and how old i cant really give an answer that i would be comfortable giving out because i would be guessing

Car won't stay started

check air filter to see if it is clogged. if it isn't check your fuel filters. you have one on the fire wall and one underneath the car on the driver side connecting the engine to the gas tank. open your truck, uncover the inside right fender panel, push the button on the switch and release the button. the button should pop out. the button has wires going to it. it is attached to the well wall under the cover you removed. try to start your car several timestil it will not even try to start. this release the gas pressure in your gas line. now you can replace both filters. after you replaced both gas filters, push the button in to reset it. try to start your engine, pump the gas pettle several times while you are cranking the engine. this will put gas pressure back in your gas line and into your engine. the gas filters should be changed according to manufacture time requirements. call ford parts department and ask how often the gas filters should be changed. any other information can be obtained at any auto parts company. try this first and hope it's not your fuel pump. your fuel pump is inside the gas tank. my fuel pump part caused $300. i recommend you buy it from ford. you don't want any gas leaks and ford will match it up if you need it.

How do you set a popart pop-693ad watch

Ok, it took awhile to remember, but to reset the analog time or the day or anything else, first push the "mode" button which is at the 8:00 position on the side of the watch, 3 times. The first push will bring up the stopwatch, the 2nd push will change the alarm time, the 3rd push will highlight the seconds which on the watch face is at the 6:00 position. Release after the 3rd push and push the "reset" button which is located at the 4:00 position. It will start flashing the hour first. If that is what you need to change, then push the "start" button which is at the 2:00 position. Either keep pushing the start button to set the hour or hold the button in if you have more than a couple of hours to change. When that is done, if you need to change the minutes, push the "reset" button again and the minutes should be highlighted and do the same thing with the "start" button until you have the minutes set where you want. When you are done changing whichever thing needs to be set, including the alarm time, push the "mode" button and everything will stay set. This is for the Pop Art 693 AD watch which if you buy through ebay, it's an awesome watch with dual analog/digital time displays, etc. it comes with no instructions. If all else fails, go to the jewelry counter at a Walmart and hopefully the worker there can help. We found that once with a different watch. I hope this helps everyone!!

Lost OM, starting question - Homelite 10655 chain saw

The compression release should be a metal button that projects from the cylinder head and extends out from the cylinder cover so that it can be depressed before starting. There should be an immediate lessening of compression when pushed. If no such result, the release mechanism should be removed and cleaned, or replaced. Proper starting is to pump the primer button several times to fill the bulb with fuel, then set the choke closed, the ignition on and set the fast idle on the throttle. Pull the engine through several times until it pops, then release the choke part way, and try to start. Don't pull the throttle during this as it will release the fast idle setting. Once the engine fires, the compression release should self-reset for maximum compression. Hope this makes sense and helps!

Flashing lights

Hi, had the same problem today. Solution: Start engine, blower on max, air direction to cabin, press rear wiper and rear wash buttons simulanteously for 5 seconds (all lights now on steady). Calibration test starts and lights flsh alternately. After first test, AC and recurculation lights flash for the cool down test. If all test pass then rear wiper light blinks slowly (press to exit self test). If AC and recurculation test fails then just 2 lights stay on. To repeat this part of the test press just AC and rear wash simulanteously ( may take several attempts and usually best when engine is cold). Again exit by pressing the rear wiper button once it is the only one flashing (slow blink).

This does work but it took me 15 minutes to finally switch them off!!!
