Not able to connect to Smart server through Dash board

Hello,
Let me briefly tell the details of problem.
Recently I changed the IP address ( EXT) provided by our ISP on ext interface of the Nokia appliance. I followed below steps.
Login to the Dashboard via your Internal IP address
2. Define external IP address for the Firewall object.
3. Login to appliance via voyager (Internal IP)change the external IP address.
4. Change the default routes.
5. Login to dashboard and get click the button get "Interfaces with topology" or you can manually change the IP address.
6. Push the policy.

After this I see that Internet access is withdrawn and no access to internet and other firewall located at USA.
I restored the old IP address in Nokia and Check point also and power off and powered on (thorugh power button) and I got access to Internet and VPN all apllications started running, but problem occured with dashborad connectivity with smart server, we have NOkia IP 260 with Check point R55.

We have done basic truoubleshootng with Nokia applicance and loged call with Nokia TAC.
The error message is " connection can't be initiated, please make sure the server is up and running and that you are defined as GUI client".
As R55 is outof support hence Check pint TAC is not able to provide solution.
I tried running cpconfig and cpstart command in hyperterminal of Nokia but it says command not found, I am very perplexed and not sure what is wrong can any one advise ,what is over looked or what is the solution of this proble, I shall be highly grateful on your support.

sincere regards,

Manoj

Unblock tube 8

Hello. How has the website been blocked to you. If the website has been blocked based on your IP address, you can use a proxy server or use any IP hider software like Smart Hide IP to browse IP blocked websites. Once you have enabled an IP hider software, you can visit IP-Details.com and have an IP lookup to ensure whether your IP has been really hidden.

Find proxy server address

Changing TCP/IP settings Win 7 TCP/IP defines how your computer communicates with other computers.
To make it easier to manage TCP/IP settings, we recommend using automated Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). DHCP automatically assigns Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to the computers on your network, if your network supports it. If you use DHCP, then you don't have to change your TCP/IP settings if you move your computer to another location, and DHCP doesn't require you to manually configure TCP/IP settings, such as Domain Name System (DNS) and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS). To enable DHCP or change other TCP/IP settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, typeadapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
  2. Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties. 25e7e385-9327-4f7d-aab0-afa5aaf952ba_49.jpgThe Network Connection Properties dialog box
  4. To specify IPv4 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IP address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IP address, and then, in the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  5. To specify IPv6 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IPv6 address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IPv6 address, and then, in the IPv6 address, Subnet prefix length, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  6. To specify DNS server address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get a DNS server address automatically using DHCP, click Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify a DNS server address, click Use the following DNS server addresses, and then, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server boxes, type the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers.

How to change the ip address of a hp jetdirect 170X

Hi,

The manual is located here, and it recommends the following procedure, which starts on page 18.

Connect the Jetdirect box to the printer and the network and power on.
Press the Test button on the back of the Jetdirect box to print a configuration page.

The configuration page should show the IP address of the Jetdirect box.

If this is an IP address in the normal range of your network, ie the first three numbers of the Jetdirect box's IP address and your computer's IP address is the same (such as 192.168.0.) then simply type the IP address into your computers internet browser and you can reach the configuration page. The steps on page 58 detail the user interface for the web login.

If the Jetdirect box does not get an IP address withing 2 minutes of it booting up, it assigns itself an IP address of 192.0.0.192, and you can connect to it over the network if you change your own network settings to 192.0.0. and a number from 1-254 (but not 192).

How do i set up the wireless connection on my asus 626. I recently purchased this unit and I'm trying to set it up to connect to my wireless internet at home. I don't know how to do this and I'm hoping...

dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/IA/Cannes/E2775_Cannes_Manual.pdf

Do it the easy way.
In the ASUS turn off dhcp server.
Change its ip to the same range but different ip to the netcomm and outside the dhcp range. ie. if the netcomm is 192.168.1.1 and hands out addresses from 2-100 make the Asus 192.168.1.254 which is the top address. (I have no idea what netcomm you have so you will have to figure this out. ) If you want more detail tell us exactly what IP addresses the modem and the Asus are using.

Last step. Plug the modem into a LAN port of the ASUS, not wan. It will then work fine as wireless access point.

Portforwarding stopped working

OK, when you set up port forwarding, you have to tell the router to forward such and such a port (or range) to such and such a system.
Most people allocate their IP addresses on their home network, by using a DHCP server, and most home routers have one - so that they can make sure that all the systems are on the same network.
But the DHCP server does not try to insure that the same address is given to the same system every time. In fact, people don't worry about that, they use a scheme of telling nameservers which ip address they got this time.
Generally they TRY to assign the same system the same address every time, if it is available, but in some cases you will go to renew and get a different address.
The point is that port forwarding set up today might not work in an hour when the address expires.
Those are opaque messages but I am gonna take a guess. The server starts up, and starts a port. Then it says, "This is a slow (late) network" and it has waited for 38 seconds for a response. Finally it gives up.
He is not on satellite or trying to use a cellphone internet provider, is he? 38 seconds is not completely unusual for those guys. If he is using regular DSL or cable, you are probably right.
So, back to DHCP. There is no guarantee that you will get the same local address whenever you log in to your local network, unless you have configured your router to always associate your system with the same IP. When you first set up port forwarding, it works, and then, wow, it fails because you got a different IP address from the DHCP server in the modem.
Your local IP address will be 192.168.1.something, most likely. These addresses are in a special range that everyone uses for private addresses.
On a vista box, if you go to "Network Connections", then right click on the entry representing your hardware connection (might have one for wired, one for wireless, one for bluetooth) and then look for Status, and click that. then look for details, it will tell you your IPV4 address. Most windows systems will have some similar thing.

Now insure that your port forwarding in your router is pointing at that IP address. That should work.
Of course, if a parent set up port forwarding, they might have taken it out. They all think you play too many video games. :-)
No one installed a firewall on the system that is running this program, did they? And the program is listed as an exception in the windows firewall and was not updated since it was so listed? That is the next thing I'd look at if the IP address has not changed. From another system on the same lan, try telnetting to the target port and see if it connects at all. Just thoughts, but I think the most likely thing is that it failed because the address changed.

Wont hook up

I don't think it's your server; it sounds like you need to change your network settings so you get your IP address from a DHCP server; it sounds like you have a static address and possibly your computer's IP address is the same as the server.
