Question about Kenwood Food Mixers
Could be one of three things
1) the belt is broken to the main gearbox (fairly easy to replace if you can get one)
2) a gear has slipped or broken which means none of the front end will operate.(I have this problem and cannot get the gear body to open)
3) If the top and front worms are turning then the problem is with the planetary gear which again is fairly easy to replace

It could be a broken drive belt, this is usually located under the top cover. You may need to remove a couple of screws to get at it. Don't forget to unplug the mixer before trying this.

It uses a different thread = turn clockwise to undo - not the normal turn ccw to undo and the nut is attached to the 2 blades.
