My Walmart Computer Care Plan CD is to small/My Dell XPS M1530 CD drive won"t '****' in the CD disk

What should I do? I don"t want to use something to push the little mini CD farther in and I'm afraid if I push it in I won"t be able to get it out without damaging the computer or sticking something in to pull the CD out. I could damage the CD/Laptop or both? my walmart computer care plan cd is to small

Most laptop CD drives hold the CD firmly in place with a spring loaded hub. The CD clips on the hub will hold mini CD and normal CD and cannot work loose.

I've a DELLXPS M1530. I'm trying to eject a CD, wont come out

I do believe that there is still a small hole by that slot, that you can insert a straightened paper Clip into, and keep pushing until you feel/hear a slight, click, keep pushing gently and the disk should soon appear. IF you cannot do that the DVD will be removable by taking out the fasteners underneath the laptop,, and sliding the DVD out. for repair of replacement.

My daughter put two cd in my dell xps m1530.any idea how to get them out

Hi,
Please try the following:
On your dvd drive there is a very small pinhole. Get a paperclip and try to push it through. This pinhole is used for emergencies where the dvd drive does not eject.
Other thing you can do, is to turn your laptop upside down and remove the dvd rom drive from your laptop. Then unscrew the dvd drive to get the cds out.

CD-ROM Drive has a driver problem (Dell XPS M1530)

Driver will be on Opperating System it is a Sony Product that is extemely common.

If the Hardware has failed... it can also give you that same error... bit misleading. I'm assuming the light in the front of the CD Rom is flashing when you push the eject button and of course the door opens. This all can be true and the CD Rom could still be bad.

Try to locate a replacement CD Rom to test... friend or the cost of a new one is about 45-50 dollars...
