Acer 4720Z not charging, port looks good, no damage and charger pin also good, 2 days it was like loose connection charging/gone..then permanantly gone. I assuming pin loose.
Check if the led indicator is on, when you connect your adapter to power outlet. It may simply be loose connection between the adapter and connecting cord.
If possible, borrow adapter of same make and model from someone (maybe a friend who owns the same laptop) to ensure, that the port is not damaged.
If the port is all good, I suggest you get your adapter replaced, as repairing it is not worth the hassle.

Instead of spending alot of time trying to do something that could potentially harm your laptop..why not just buy a power supply?
You can get one here Click here for about 16 dollars. That's a great deal they are usually about $60 and its a Dell brand not some off brand.
Good Luck

check the amperage on the ACDC adapter block for both of them.
SOURCE: Acer 6920 LCD Screen damaged
The screen is impossible to repair if its cracked. Getting a new LCD isn't that expensive but only if you know how to replace it. Getting one from manufacturer is around 130. but there is an ebay link on the bottom you can get one for 70 or so with shipping.
This link shows you how to replace a LCD screen. even tho its not your model but is very close to how yours look.

SOURCE: The charger port on the computer is loose how do i open the port
unfortunately you will have to open up the notebook, take out the hdd, optical drive, wlan card, ram card(s), motherboard, and under the mb, there will be your charger port. Recomandation: Don't try to fix it yourself, UNLESS you know what you are doing. If you don't just go to the local repair shop.
