I inspected the circuit board and notice that the wires form the transformer and the board were loose so I soldered them. And also the board was cracked by the input jack probably because the cord was plugged in when the amp fell over face down. So, I put some glue on the crack and soldered the copper traces and it works now. Thanks for helping me with my problem.

Was it on when it was knocked over? When you turn it on now does the green indicator light by the power switch come on?

When it was knocked over it may have cracked the main circuit board, but does the pilot light come on at all? If the pilot light comes on but no sound is output from the speaker try plugging some headphones into the head phone jack and then turn it on and see if you can hear sound in the headphones. I have had a similar problem before and the main speaker had gone bad but it would still play thru the head phone jack.

Trying to connect peavey tour 700 to a trace elliot 1518 bass enclosure. Plug the enclosure to the back of the amp. Then plugged my bass into the high gain. Turned it on and nothing happens.

Check continuity on all cables, try a different cabinet with the head and a different head with the cabinet and the bass with a different rig to see which part of the chain isn't working, make sure the volume controls are turned up on both the amp and bass. Once the problem is narrowed down it will be easier to advise you.

Peavey problems

It is impedance that matters. You can connect 1000w speakers at 1 watt amplifier as long as impedance (Ohms) is correct. You can not frie speakers with low power. It is the same as turning volume down (even to zero?).If it worked for some time then problem is in mixer itself and would have happened anyway. Could be just blown fuse or something. Does it show any "sign of life" ? LEDs etc?

Peavey tnt 115 blowing fuses

your either overloading something cause that's what pops fuses. My guess is that what your plugging in or into has a ground issue. I'm wondering if it does it with nothing plugged in at all. I would say if you have nothing in and it does it, you need to find where the ground issue is. that's my best guess

My amplifier has no power

First of all, check to make sure the fuse is good, it should be close to the power cord in the back under a small, black, screw on type knob. Sometimes, when those power switches get old, they get dirty inside and may not always make contact. If you switch it on and off, while wiggling around at the time, about 15 - 20 times to see if it tries to power on at least once intermittently would tell you if a new switch would resolve this. I would also inspect the power cord for bare spots, cracks, broken, tape, or anything that appears to not be a good solid connection.

Peavey Problems

Check speaker impedance or disconnect speaker leads, then use a 9V battery to verify cone movement and if this test is ok, then go inside the amp, if there's no fuses blown check opamps supply voltage which should be -15V at pin-4 and +15V at pin-8, let me know your results to help improvement.

Check power supply fuse inside cabinet, if this is ok you may have good reasons to suspect that your power module got fried.

I have two sp2 speakers i am using a ipod numark dj machine connected through my 2600 watt peavey amp it keeps blowing out one speaker can you tell me why

The SP2 speakers are rated at 1000 watts PROGRAM which is around 500 watts RMS MAXIMUM. You should be using an amp capable of a maximum of 500 watts a side... Your amp is WAY too big. You will have to throttle it down. The speakers have the protection for the tweeters but NOT for the woofers. At five hundred watts RMS and 8 ohms the current is: P = I^2 * R so I^2 = 500/8 = 62.5 so MAX current is 7.9 amps. I recommend you put a 8 amp FAST BLOW fuse in the speaker leads. If the fuse blows, you have saved another speaker and you are DRIVING them too hard. For greater safety make the fuse a 7.5 amp fast blow. Also get a sound meter. The max on these speakers is 125 Db at a meter distance... and in your venue you should NOT exceed 100 Db to be safe with the OSHA regulations regarding hearing protection... I suspect you are driving the speakers too hard. One side may be getting more bass. The speakers are rated down to 55 Hz. DO NOT boost bass up as you will overheat the speakers. If you are using microphones, be careful of feedback, especially that above hearing range. If you need real low bass, then get an 18 inch subwoofer. No matter, stay within safe sound levels to avoid lawsuits and hearing loss... I know several deaf musicians...

Peavey amp shut down

The output stage has a problem. From your description, I'd guess that the high voltage supply has failed. The low volume and distortion suggests that you are trying to power the speakers from the driver section rather than the outputs. There is a resistor that fails in some of this series. If I remember correctly it is either a 2K or 3K resistor 10 watts in size. If you have no experience with repairs, I'd seek a service shop that is familiar with these units. The part runs between $5-$10.
