Router ar 410, wan port is eth0 with statick ip, public, and switch port 1 is on vlan2 with pirvate ip address 192.168.18.253. how tu add default route for acces to internet eth0 is connected on shdsl...

Does the DSL router have a model number? Also for the public address, can you give me the first couple of digits. I just want to make sure it is truly a public IP address and not a class A or B private address because only an ISP can hand out public addresses.
If the IP address on eth0 is indeed private, I am guessing you have to get into the DSL router and set a static route to point to let it know about both of the the ar410 networks on each interface. Keep in mind it might not understand VLSM so when you static route in the DSL to the 192 network you will only need to specify it as 192.168.18.0 as class C default mask is 24.

Route multiple static WAN IP's to LAN IP's

the router has to be set up as a "pass through" device if your ISP has given you a static address pack.

I just purchased a new modem and the sonic wall tz190 will not retrieve new ip address...

1. Check the manufacturer's web site for update this could be the issue
Most new router modem off the shelf have not been update by the manufacturer due to delay engineer changes and may only become available after shipment to the retail stores.
Here is there site if you can connect through a friend or relative connection and download the updates for your unit.
the update also may be able to go onto a 4gb flashdrive.

Private network > VPN > network firewll > priv net

Add a static route on the Sonicwall 2040 : 192.168.1.0/24 with the RV082 as gateway (the ip of the network shared between the RV082 and the Sonicwall)

Another solution is to enable NAT on RV082 for 192.168.1.0/24 network. Routing is preferable.

Sonicwall Pro 300 DMZ Problem

If you're within a network and try connecting to computers on it with the WAN public IP, it simply won't work - you must use the network IP. On an external Internet connection, it should connect fine to the public IP. If you have access to an external machine (remote desktop), or if you know of an FTP proxy, you can try it that way. I also believe http://www.webftp.co.uk/ a web based FTP client would act as somewhat of a proxy, you could try that with the public IP and see how you go.
