Question about GE 25932 Cordless Phone

"New Voice Mail" stuck on screen.

I have two brand new GE 25932 5.8GHz phones set into the same phone line. I received a new voice mail today, and the phone registered it on the LCD screen (it has never done this before today; I've had them about a week). Now, it won't go away. I've tried unplugging the phones and reentering what the screen SHOULD say. I've also accessed my voice mail from an outside line to try to get rid of it. The user's guide only tells you that "New Voice Mail" means you have a new voice mail message. No troubleshooting. I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated!

How do I listen to my voice mail?

my phone says i have a new voice mail i need to know how to check it

i am having exactly the same issue as this - new voice mail does not dissappear after receiving and deleting the voice mails that were retrieved in full - have also tried deleting stored #'s in phone hoping that may help. If numbers rcvd is not purged your phole line will show as full occupancy.....phone should have a low enough limit on amount of phone calls that can be stored at one time to memory. Calls recvd and over stored, end up relaying to outside callers that the phone #'s box is full

my voice mail light keeps flashing and theirs know voice mail

  • richardj7 May 11, 2010

I have the GE 28111 DECT 6.0. I also have a phone service through my cable company. If someone leaves a message on my voicemail (cable company message center), then I have the blue light flashing indicating that there is a message waiting.

Using one of the two handsets, I call in my message, listen to it, then delete it. Normally, on my regular wall-plugged phone, the message light will shut down after a vew seconds. On my wireless handsets, the blue light keeps flashing, and the NEW VOICE MAIL keeps appearing.

THe only way I've managed to remove the flashing blue light and message, is to disconnect the battery from both wireless handsets. I hate to think that I have to do that each time.

Any solution, apart from the one mentioned in the green box above this thread, i.e. disconnecting everything for 10 minutes?

Called GE. Here's what's happening (at least with my phone). I use VONAGE as a carrier. VONAGE's package includes voicemail. I have my VONAGE voicemail account set up to take any call that comes in if the answering machine on my GE phone does not pick up -- for instance if I'm on the phone and I do not "flash" over to the incoming call, that caller will eventually be sent to my VONAGE voicemail where they can leave a message. (Otherwise I would either take the call, or, if not already in use, the GE phone/answering system would simpy take the message.) This GE phone is commucating with my VONAGE account and letting me know that I have a mesage in my VONAGE account voicemail. All I have to do is either go online and delete the messages (after listening to them of course) and refresh the page. Once the messsages are deleted, the carrier lets my phone know the messages are gone and the NEW VOICE MAIL prompt on the handset disappears. I suppose I can do it by listening to the messages by calling in and deleting through the touch pad on the phone as well.

Sorry, no solution here, but I have the same phones and they do the same thing. Seemed to do it randomly at first (sometimes would keep New Voice Mail message on LCD, even if message had been retreived, sometimes not), but now has it for several days and won't go away. Tried "naming" handset, deleting all voicemails, etc, same as you.....does anyone have an answer?

I called GE support. You have to reset the phone.
Unplug the AC adapter, remove the phone line, remove the battery (in this order). Wait 10 minutes, then reconnect the battery, the phone line, and the AC adapter (in this order). It works!

SOURCE: "New Voice Mail" stuck on screen.

Hi, I have the same problem. I called the service provider, they left a voice message, which I accessed later and deleted from my voicemail box. This took care of it and I dont have that message on the screen now. I think you can just leave yourself a voice message and access it later and delete it. That should resolve it.

I cannot retrive my voice mail messages from my sciphone i68+

If you have voice mail on a land line as opposed to your cellular phone, you shouldn't have an icon on your cellular phone to retrieve any but the voice mail on your cellular account. If there is a special phone number that you call to retrieve your land line voice mail, then dial it, and enter whatever codes are required to retrieve your land line voice mail.

New Voice Mail flashing light

press "mute" key to access menu, press the up or down arrow key labeled "caller ID- volume" until you get to "handset setup", press the "mute" key again, press the down or up arrow until you have "defaultsetting" selected, press "mute" key, press "1", then press "mute" once more. At this point your handset will reset clearing the indicator for all the handsets. I've had to do this twice on my phones and it worked every time.

New Voice Mail flashing light

What worked for me was to call my phone from another phone and leave myself a voicemail. I then went in and retrieved and deleted that voicemail. Once I hung up from my voicemail service my handsets reset about 10 seconds later.

I hope this helps!

call your phone service and have them disconnect the voice mail and if they cant just remove that have them set there rings at like 9 since most phones only have up to 5 rings for the machine to answer.you will have to use there voice mail service to hear your message and then delete it but should be good after that. i have comcast and they said it would take 3 days to deactivate voice mail but told me how to get there so i can get rid of that flashing light, hope this helps you

New Voice Mail

I have FiOs and used some of the info I gathered from this page to get my voice mail working now! To set up my voice mail I called my phone number (from the house phone), then pressed * when the automated system picked up...Your prompted to use a 4 digit pass code, which is the last 4 digits of your phone number (worked for me). From there I listened to the prompts and created a new "4 digit pw" as well as a "name password" by the end of the cycle. It then allowed me to listen to the messages on the phone and delete them! Phone finally says ready on it.
