Question about GE 25932 Cordless Phone
I have two brand new GE 25932 5.8GHz phones set into the same phone line. I received a new voice mail today, and the phone registered it on the LCD screen (it has never done this before today; I've had them about a week). Now, it won't go away. I've tried unplugging the phones and reentering what the screen SHOULD say. I've also accessed my voice mail from an outside line to try to get rid of it. The user's guide only tells you that "New Voice Mail" means you have a new voice mail message. No troubleshooting. I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated!
Having the same problem.. tried to reset the phone, remove batteries etc but nothing seems to fix the problem....

Called GE. Here's what's happening (at least with my phone). I use VONAGE as a carrier. VONAGE's package includes voicemail. I have my VONAGE voicemail account set up to take any call that comes in if the answering machine on my GE phone does not pick up -- for instance if I'm on the phone and I do not "flash" over to the incoming call, that caller will eventually be sent to my VONAGE voicemail where they can leave a message. (Otherwise I would either take the call, or, if not already in use, the GE phone/answering system would simpy take the message.) This GE phone is commucating with my VONAGE account and letting me know that I have a mesage in my VONAGE account voicemail. All I have to do is either go online and delete the messages (after listening to them of course) and refresh the page. Once the messsages are deleted, the carrier lets my phone know the messages are gone and the NEW VOICE MAIL prompt on the handset disappears. I suppose I can do it by listening to the messages by calling in and deleting through the touch pad on the phone as well.

Sorry, no solution here, but I have the same phones and they do the same thing. Seemed to do it randomly at first (sometimes would keep New Voice Mail message on LCD, even if message had been retreived, sometimes not), but now has it for several days and won't go away. Tried "naming" handset, deleting all voicemails, etc, same as you.....does anyone have an answer?

I called GE support. You have to reset the phone.
Unplug the AC adapter, remove the phone line, remove the battery (in this order). Wait 10 minutes, then reconnect the battery, the phone line, and the AC adapter (in this order). It works!

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Hi, I have the same problem. I called the service provider, they left a voice message, which I accessed later and deleted from my voicemail box. This took care of it and I dont have that message on the screen now. I think you can just leave yourself a voice message and access it later and delete it. That should resolve it.
