Question about Maytag Neptune MDE4000 Electric Dryer
I have a Maytag De4000 Electric Dryer that is a 3 prong style plug in and I want to change it to a 4 prong plug in since that is what is in my house is a 4 prong plug in. I have the cord but need to know how to hook it up to this dryer. The cord has a Red wire, white wire, black wire, and a green wire. Please help I think I may have hooked it up wrong because I am barely getting any heat from this dryer and my wife is getting pissed about it.
Black and red wire, will hook to either end of terminal posts, as long as the white wire connects to the center post. the green wirewill then atach to the cabinet of the unit,( usually a green ground screw just outside the termoal box anyhow!
